BC crashes during intro movies

hi. i installed BC and my computer keeps rebooting right after the star trek: bridge commander intro... i see stars moving to the left and then the computer reboots. i've installed the 1.1 patch, any help you guys can offer?

What happens when you press "Esc" right when you can?
Does your computer still reboot?
I still can't read peoples minds, nor can I read peoples computers, even worse, I can't combine the two to read what is going wrong with your BC install...

yea, i try to press enter/esc and doing nothing still reboots my system... one time i got a BSOD, but it rebooted too fast before i could read anything.

Somehow, I don't think there is a problem with BC.

Are there other programs that exhibit the same behaviour?

nope.  although ive been experiencing problems with my video card with other games (sims 2, elite force) [i have a voodoo3 2000 PCI, switching to a ATI radeon 9200 AGP] i should be getting another vid card in a day or so.. will keep you updated
