My first Bridge
« on: June 03, 2007, 04:13:17 PM »
Hi all.

This is my first bridge which I am making with Milkshape.
I'm most likely going to change a few things and add more detail when I find some extra time.

There's no textures on it (as you can see), I'm also going to give that a try.

My mission here is to broaden my capabilities and be at least ok in a number of things like, videogaphy, modelling and textureing.  I'm also going to try scripting...but that may take a while.

I want to see how much ego I can take in before my brain explodes, lol.

I don't know...I actually haven't thought of that.

Most likely TMP era or just after.  Somewhere between Ent-B and Ent-C.

I may use it for my ship, the USS Mephisto.  It's a ship I kitbashed for a trek episode I wanted to make but I may re-design that too.

I like it aswell. Kinda of spacous but like you said, your just getting started.

About the view screen though. Im no bridge maker but I know this for a fact (I think Mark told me ages ago). The view screen has to be flat for it to work ingame. If its on a curved wall, it will not work.

That is, if this intended for BC. If its a rendered bridge thats going to be used for something outside of BC, I say, I cant wait to see more progress on it.
Can't wait for 2014 to start.

Thanks.

Ya, spacious.  Still getting used to the scale.
I still have to edit the viewscreen and the roof.
It'll be for bc, it could be used for tos, not many tos bridges out there.  Still haven't decided yet.

I'm working on a ship too, the two might go together.

will update again in a day or so...

it can be late TOS as it has elements of TOS and TMP.

I think it would work well as an Ambassador - Constellation contemporary. Looks good!

For a milkshape model it?s pretty good, as for a bridge model, it needs some adjustment and improvements here and there.
I like the overall design but the viewscreen is way too big. And for BC it can be actually curved (excalibur bridge one is), it just will create some wierd effects if go close to it with walk fx.

One trouble you'll find sooner or later is that, for what i know, you can?t export animations for characters using milkshape correctly. I might be wrong though.

it's..... strange......
it looks like late TOS or TMP, but it has some TNG and even late-TNG elements. I mean, the seats beside the Captain's chair are TNG icons, there's no XO or Guest seat in the Ent-A, Ent-B or even Ent-C, if I remember correctly from TMP, Generations and Yesterday's Enterprise.
and those smoothed pylons are definitely not TMP. fits more like late-TNG or even post NEM.

this would fit perfectly on an experimental vessel. it's big and looks nicely planned, if you place your lights correctly you can mask some areas and light some others, like the Capt chair, the back console, the viewscreen, etc. a dark scheme like the Intrepid at red alert would also work. find a good LCARS scheme and you're done.

Guess it belongs to DJ's Enterprise F then lol. It would fit it.
Some new ships from DJ and some bridges to go with them lol.

Here's a quick update.

A Closer Look
Looking Forward

I added a few things and still working on the roof.  The viewscreen is there now since it wasn't before.

Also will be adding a bunch of little things and looking at other bridges to see what a bridge looks like just so I stay on track.  I think I'll change the chair legs too since they look kinda funky.

Lots more work to do...

Okay, now it looks like a bridge belonging to ships from the future of Stargleet (25th century and later) but it still looks cool so far. Nice job.
Can't wait for 2014 to start.

One small sugestion:
Try putting a small step infront of the captains chair, the slope looks a little to slopey. Can imagine him/her falling in the middle of a fight XD

Wow! I really like it! Very original looking. I would suggest putting consoles next to the XO and guest chairs like the Galaxy and Sovereign class has. Great job man and keep up the good work!
