no phaser sfx

Hi I looked around the forums before posting this, I recently downloaded the kobayshi 1.0 and I love it, anyway
I downloaded a TOS Uss enterprise but no sound from phasers, the files are in the weapons folder, but nothing, does anyone have any ideas?

Right, as I see it, there are 4 possibilities.
1. No sound is specified in the hardpoint
2. The "sound names" aren't defined (so they aren't linked to the mp3/wav file, I consider this the most likely)
3. The sounds themselves are missing
4. The sounds aren't properly encoded.

I suggest looking through the comments of the file.
Also, please provide a link to the file if you have a specific mod you have a question about.
