Well, the shape of the phasers in the TMP era have always seemed like turrets, they just never used them that way.  Of course, Star Trek II was the only time they actually used phasers until Generations.

Actually, Star Trek II did show a "turret like" phaser movement, from the rollbar phaser on the Reliant.

There's another TV spot and it shows some new things along with some of the older clips.  The theme for this one is: Forget Everything You Know.

BOOM! BOOM!

Wait, does that mean we'll be seeing stuff in the 24th Century, no matter how short it may be?

Well, the movie starts as soon as the final countdown issue ends. As in if the comic was one page longer that would be the movie. I think it would be kind of a ST6 opening or maybe we just see Romulus just sitting there and the shockwave comes out of nowhere and then we see the Narada emerge from its trip through time over Vulcan. Five minutes...maybe at the most is all we will see the way I see it.

Maybe there be flashbacks to what happened. A Narration by Nero or something.

Likely.  Heck, it might be his monologue to the heroes before they kick his arse across the galaxy.

Going back to the Forbidden Planet orders, WHY OH WHY DO I HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL THE END OF JULY! If only the uniform could come ONE WEEK sooner, I could wear it at Comic Con!!!

Well, Forbidden Planet also happens to be European based.  I mean, they're not releasing the Playmates 1701 until July, but it comes out mid next month.

Wait wait... How did our own Eric Bana land the main villain role?

Now I have to see it.

...Probably not, but the number I get(379.6m) could be considered ?original intent,? a term that I think I will be using from now on, and ?canon? be damned.

I call Slowpoke.

I prefer the red shirt (engineering) to the yellow ones. Might get one :P.

Anyway I do so hope we see more from the 24th/25th century time line... in this thing other than Romulus going boom.

To be ontopic: New trailer. I'm guessing Kirk on the icy planet (Dellta something-or-other) is to do with his Starfleet training.

That'll be a shock for Spock. Hehe, it rhymes. So why does young Spock say "You will experience fear"? They appear to be at Starfleet Academy in those stupid red clothes/things.
