"With the Proto-Nebula pack there are two variants each with three custom regs."

Why arn't you gonna do all three? Why not complete the set? Im gonna guess and say you arn't gonna do the varient that has the mini-nacelles behind the main ones correct?

Just curious.
All hail the messiah!

Thanks a lot everyone It's much appreciated!!  :D

Theres a simple answer to that one my friend..... time!!.

I've got numerous other things I need to be getting on with, so there wasn't time to work on all the different variants. Also I promised a mid-February deadline to you folks here at BCC and it's something I like to stick to.

Regarding the variants, I've modded the canon variant which was seen in the Graveyard scene at Wolf 359 and I've modded my own custom variant which is similar to the first but with a different aft section. I didn't mod the Proto-Nebula variant with the weapons pod because it was so similar to the Standard Nebula Class that I didn't see the point and the other was just butt ugly.

Thanx for the question.

I love the Proto-Nebula pack. Only thing that would have made it better is if the cannon square deflector was on it instead of the Galaxy kitbash one. But oh well.

Cant wait to see the other pack.

EDIT: I'm not sure if this would be classed as a bug as you may have done it intentionally. Then again, it might be a bug. But the smaller nacelles don't seem to be set up as warp engines. As in, they don't 'flash' when going to warp and they don't leave a plasma trail when I vent plasma.
Can't wait for 2014 to start.

I noticed that after I uploaded the Proto-Nebula Pack to BCFiles on thursday, I'm working on a patched HP which should correct that.

Very odd, I've tested this pack in four seperate installs and I've had no problems. The Melbourne Reg works fine on them all and the Icons work fine too.

Has anyone else experienced these problems?, please post here.

ATTENTION - PLEASE READ!!

I believe that I've found the problem. Both the CE Nebula and Proto-Nebula have compatability issues with Captain Russells Nebula Class pack, this stems from both packs using the same ship file names in the scripts/ships directory of your BC Install.

For anyone who wishes to download these pack you must first uninstall CR's Pack or delete the "nebulae" file in the scripts/custom/ships directory, after which the pack should work properly. This is clearly stated in the readme.

Hey Glenn,
Would you like me to make mention of this in the file descriptions on BCF?

Please that would be helpful, though I've already posted a response in the comments section of the download.

Also could a Moderator please lock down this thread as I have started a new one in the downloads section, comment and queries post there please.

Thnx.

Why was the Galaxy-style deflector used in the Proto pack? Just seems weird that the cannon square deflector wasn't used.

It seemed natural as the Proto-Nebulas have the secondary hull of a Galaxy Class Starship, that's why they appear longer at the back.
