So, I've been watching this project for a LONG time. I am going to ask, by a VERY rough estimate, will this project be done by Easter(an American celebrated holiday on April 24th, in case you do not live in U.S.)? or what IS your VERY ROUGH estimate? Also, please don't give me the  :whenitsdone stuff. K?

Dude you've got a LOT of research to do if you think the US is the only country that celebrates Easter (to make it easier on you, it's a christian holiday celebrated worldwide)...sorry.

JB We can't wait post pics NOW!!! :P lol j/p, but seriously can't wait to see her :D

he might be thinking of the SECULAR version of Easter, the one the Catholic church appropriated from the "Pagans" to make it palatable.  in this case, he probably means the "chocolate and eggs overload with ham" version of the holiday.

Yeah. Ireland does the Chocolate Eggs, not so much the ham. My mum says the traditional meal is Lamb.

Delta Quadrant lamb.

With glow maps.

too sad that every engine has its limits.
That's true, but how many times have the limits on the BC engine been tested and the limits redefined?  I remember the KM Voyager with moving nacelles was a really big step and alternates to warp like slipstream was too.  Now we have a wormhole that activates whenever we fly close to it and brings us to a new map without any buttons needed.  I think we still have a few more years before the engine reaches its full potential and even then that wouldn't stop people from making mods with that limit in place.

Beautiful detail in this ship!

This is something i never understand by a lot of ships:

the phaser texture on the belly seems chopped out (i marked it, so you could view it better).

Perhaps make it even ?

Looks fantastic!

I would guess it's the way how the model was made ;)

yeah you're not going to get a perfectly smooth surface... unless you want to add lots of polies.

Yeah it's the model & as ive stated from the start on CGI V2.5, there will be no model alterations :P

Right I promised images of the finished secondary hull, but i went one step further and completely finished her :D

Next step will be to set Voyager up with the new glows to get the deflector glow etc like the show ;)

Enjoy the pics

Right Ive been messing around with the deflector glow and I think Ive got the general shape, just might need to tone it down. What do you guys think? Its been a bit of a pain in the arse to match the glows because of the ID cuts into bits of the saucer, but i think ive matched it near enough.

I still need to fix the impulse engines, and may put some glows round the nacelles, but again opinions would be good ;)

Cheers

Can I say impressed? That Voyager model looks bloody fantastic. The level of detail is crazy. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need get a tissue. I've made a mess of myself.

Fantastic work JL!

The particle deflector glow is a BIT much... but not too much. Try and tone it down a TAD. The aft torpedo tubes have a more PINK/YELLOW red to them than the fore torpedo tubes.

Also, would it be possible to add a SLIGHT red glow to the port and starboard side of the secondary hull where the glows from the bussards go?

After that, all you need are blinkers and running lights and shes done.

I think the warp grills and the deflector dish need to be just a tad bit more blue.  Other than that, it's a phenomenal work!

Am definitely going to have to watch more Voyager with the CG Shots...did the deflector actually glow that much???

I think it depeneds on the look you are going for, as in the later seasons 6-7 they used a diffrent model or slightly altered. The glow is quite strong though in season 7 obv not the stock footage, there is one good pic of the deflecter in shattered, however the deflector explodes
