anyone who wants to do that is free to do so. I prefer the Kirk era that is why I'm making the original (And still the best) Enterprise.

I fail to see why the Excal community are so down on the 23rd Cent ships, after all there are some still around in the 24th. Perhaps a Constitution class refit brought out of retirement to fight the Dominion.

Are we going to see another shift after J J Adams's trek is released for the new look TOS ships?

Sorry about the rant just think people forget about the original 79 and 6 movies after being spoiled on TNG, DS9, Voy and Enterprise.

I think it's just that they are setting Excal post Nemesis. I'm sure people will be making TOS and TMP era stuff for it as soon as it's released, and this will be a perfect addition.

Personally, I'm not a huge fan of TOS and TMP though. I grew up with late TNG and Voy. Well, I say grew up, I mean watched occasionally :P!

Ok back to topic.

The officers lounge is the last room I need to model from scratch unless anyone has any ideas for rooms not yet featured.

Work that still needs to be done: -

Shuttle storage and control room. Also Fantail doors need remaking (currently see through)
More greenery in Botanical Garden
Captains cabin (might copy and re-texture to make Spocks as well)
Engineering needs consoles and might see if I can add Radiation chamber
Torpedo room needs a front wall and further texturing
Sick bay need structure detail and consoles added
Airlock needs consoles and final texture details
Transporter room just needs side utility corridor adding

Corridors done
Bridge done

How about some quarters and some more corridors. You could fill in most of the decks that way by just coping them. Perhaps turbolifts and some labs would be cool.

How long have you been using it? I've got it but i've never given it a proper go. I'll have to start moddeling some ships.

I've been using it for about 8 years but only started to model with it in the last year

Even though we never saw them in the original Enterprise refit, I think some of the rooms visited on the -A would conceivably been in the 1701.

1. The officer's mess from Star Trek VI, perhaps retextured to fit the motif of the rest of the ship.

2. The observation lounge from Star Trek V, the one with the motto plaque, and the wooden ship's wheel.

3. A phaser or auxilary control room, such as we saw on the -B in Generations.

4. Use your imagination! What is the ship missing that the crew would need?

You are doing an excellent job, many accolades to you, friend!

There already is a bathroom in the captain's cabin. you can see the sonic shower in the pic, and the loo was going to be the next addition to the model.

The star trek V observation lounge is a nice idea but the TMP Enterprise showed it's own lounge in TMP. but since we only saw the back of it in TMP and in TFF the launge was at the front I'll see if the 2 rooms marry together.

I was never happy with the UDC's officers mess, it clearly the 1701-D's briefing room redressed, same with engineering.

I may use the 1701-A's junior crew cabin since this was not seen in the first 3 trek films.

Was also thinking of adding Jefferys tubes. Just concerned the model is getting big, and though still usable for my project.

Well keep the feedback coming

Ilia's quarters as with Spock's from TWOK is Kirk quarters redessed. Since that room is now complete it can be copied and customised for it crew member

I thought of one more room that we have never seen on the refit. Ship's Brig.

Yes we have, in ST: 5. Kirk, Spock and McCoy were held in it.

Yes and I believe it was the first time we saw a toilet in Star Trek complete with "Do not use whilst in Spacedock" label
