try putting a # in front of "from ATP_Config import *" in the init py in scripts/custom/advancedtechnologies/data and then delete the pyc...

Ok, I did as you suggested and altered the _init_.py in the advancedtechnologies/data folder. The game starts and gets to the main menu, but CTD's when starting quick battle.

Run the game in windowed mode and/or install USS Frontier's Console Tracker.

Never mind how tedious the detail is. Just write it down.
I still can't read peoples minds, nor can I read peoples computers, even worse, I can't combine the two to read what is going wrong with your BC install...

Ok.
My original issue was the BSoD upon starting the game. None of the intro movies loaded, it simply stayed black leaving the fed cursor. I was still able to open the console to generate a report however.

After kirk2164's suggestion of altering the _init_.py in the AdvancedTechnologies/data folder, the game started normally. However upon selecting Quickbattle, the loading screen would pop up for about a second. During that brief moment the various ship sounds could be heard, like the engine hum and a few beeps. It would then kick me straight back to the desktop, no error messages or anything.
This happens even when the mutators are toggled off.

After kirk2164's suggestion of altering the _init_.py
That was Jimmy.

Since the dump didn't give us anything, could you run the game in windowed mode? If there is a script error, we can catch it while in windowed mode. It may also be a missing .nif file, as that would cause BC to CTD.

Yes, my bad, sorry. Wasn't paying attention.

Ok, I ran the game in windowed mode, it CTD'd as expected, but no debug window popped up.

What ship is your default?
Or did you recently changed it to a new mod you installed?

My default is the Galaxy. Though the SNS Galaxy pack replaced the stock version, I still start with the Galaxy.

Do you have the file zzzShipReplacement.py in scripts/Custom/Autoload?
If you have the file, can you attach it?
Or if you know how to change the starting ship to a stock ship (the shuttle for instance)?

Did you restart BC? Otherwise it won't show up until you do.
All hail the messiah!

*Sniff* I've failed to save another BC install. :'(

Don't worry, while I'm disappointed I couldn't save it, I'm afraid I won't loose any sleep over it either. ;)
