You know, with this refit, it almost jumps TOO much....
I think you should make a middle-of-the-way one; perhaps you should keep the armor generators off, then make a separate armor one.  I think new nacelles, an elongated hull, active ablative armor, and new impulse engines are too much for just one refit.  :?

Need I point you towards the contrast of the original TOS Constitution Class and the TMP Constitution Class?

When the Federation Refits a ship, it's with the newest technologies, like Aeries said, Refit Connies for example and there's several other ships in that database. The Galaxy Class is the biggest refittable ship being able to stay in service for years to come. So Armor and stuff on a starship is nothing.

the generators are needed and the nacelles look fine

I'll just say "seconded".
"To live on as we have is to leave behind joy, and love, and companionship, because we know it to be transitory, of the moment. We know it will turn to ash. Only those whose lives are brief can imagine that love is eternal. You should embrace that remarkable illusion. It may be the greatest gift your race has ever received."

Well this is the 3rd evo of the ship. I think Dalek is making another one with the extra impulse engines and ablative armour on top so it won't look as big of a leap as it does now. Also Dalek's will most probibly be released long before this. But as Aeries said, this is still a lot smaller difference than the TOS > TMP Connie.

Oh, I meant seconded to what everybody else was saying. But I'm not having an extra 2 impulse engine one. At least not the Arc mkII. Were you referring to the Pendragon?
