Yes, a massive retexture pack would definitely be nice.

Thanks for the response.

Once again, great work!

First, this is really great work!

Second, would it be possible to take the windows effect that you used in the steamrunner and use it in the Sovereign?  I don't know anything about modding, but i think with that windows effect added to the sovereign it would look more like the Enterprise from Nemesis.

Nice work, guys! Thanks for the comparison pic too, Chrono, now I feel like a blind man [though I did leave my glasses at the party Saturday night... girr @ my migraines!]

I ADORE the new sovvy... Nom nom nom. <3

A concern about the Steamrunner though... either something went terribly wrong with the symmetry modifier [or whatever equivalent in whatever you're using] or... something else is up, but there's a very distinct line running straight down the center of the ship... like it was cut in half then welded back together by an amateur team of starfleet cadets who then forgot to paint over their terrible weld seams or... whatever I'm trying to say. [not bashing you, just trying to make a joke... har-de-har?]

Anywho, very nice work so far guys!

There something wrong with one of my baby's? *looks at the nif file in Nifskope* Oh dear...it's not that bad is it?

It's probably how it's been mapped. Like the textures didn't quite reach to the middle.

It looks more like a mapping problem to me.

Quick question about the Akira, is the small warp grille near the front of the nacelle glowing?

I will investigate straight away. Are they meant to glow?

Someone was saying earlier that the models are low quality, but you should keep in mind that the CG models used for First Contact and subsequently DS9 were actually VERY low quality.  Most of the details were just textured on (including phaser strips) and, in all likelihood, the models we have in BC have just as many polygons. Only the Akira was detailed to some significant extent.

Only the Akira was detailed to some significant extent.

And even that wasn't as highly detailed as say the Defiant or Voyager.  Someone at the Trek BBS linked to orthos of the Akira model used on DS9 and VOY and I have to say both this model and the one being used for Excalibur look a lot more highly detailed.  It's definitely a credit to the KMR folks and the Excal gang to make their Akiras look as good if not better than the source material.  I hope my crummy old rig can handle either one.
