Hey! Not bad at all!

What era are you shooting for?

Looks like a cross between late TOS and/or early TNG.

To me it looks like a upgrade transition on the TOS Series to the TMP, kinda like a hybrid crossing generations. Maybe it's the ship testing the new warp drives for the upcoming Connie refits :P

You are both right actually, I was think that it would be a prototype ship for systems on the Ambassador class, using the available parts from the Constitution class as some of them were decommissioned or a TOS/TMP cross depending on how I texture it.  I need to learn to texture now. :)

Did you use Milkshape to model this?

Blender, which means that I am still looking for a  way to get it into a .nif file if I ever want it in BC.

I think that i remember that blender can export to .obj format, wich is importable by MS3d.

True, there is also a .nif import/exporter out there but I haven?t been able to get it installed properly, and I?ve heard that it doesn?t work for BC .nif, to old.

nice start :)
I use blender for my models too, and I was able with some help from adonis to export my bc models to bc.
The nif exporter for blender is s**t, but there are other ways. don't worry about it yet, I'm sure there is a way to help you to get your model to bc :D

I like it, I love crosses between TOS and TMP Constitutions.
Just kinda wish that the nacelles were a little higher...
after all, rule 3: http://www.ex-astris-scientia.org/articles/design.htm

Never seen that before, but there are a number of canon ships that violate rule 2 and 3. The nacelles are less visible than most but the Excelsior class and the Intrepid class in warp configuration both are not completely visible from the front.  And the Defiant looks like it fails rule 2.  Move them a little and I like the way it looks though.
