I must agree with the PAM.  Finish it, but bring your own thing to it.  Best thing to do. :D

Just wondering...

Since JTK is working on his Sovereign...should I stop production at least on MY sovereign?  Thoughts?

I'm just feeling as though it would be redundant to continue...I would still work to bring the Steamy and Norway up to par model and texture wise....
Don't even think about it !!! Sovereign is the least built ship in BC (at least canon Sovvy... all those post-nem or tri-nacelles doesn't count)

So keep it up mate :D

Remember, your Sovie is being textured from scratch. JTK's isn't (at least not yet). :P

Ok, I've decided to stick to it...And I've reinstalled Windows once again, pluse Windows Live OneCare to restore my files....Where I was about 5 or 6 more months behind, I'm now only 3 weeks behind schedule LOL. Go me!  Work is continuing :)

Started working on the steamy again :) fortunately I made a backup of it, so I didn't lose everything.  I did however lose the nav lights and blinkers...but, I'm seriously considering just NanoFXing them.  I started work on the bottom saucer today :D.  And I've found several reference photos...but...I'm just going to stick with this scheme, as I think it looks better, and would be more proper given the timeline.

I've never been fond of the Steamrunner design, but I must say, she is looking quite lovely.

Thanks F9th.  Question for everyone...

A lot of people have been sending me renders of the actual model...I DO have these, but I haven't been going by "canon."  Today I just made a dark blue layer to cover the entire hull

Do you guys prefer what I had?  Or this?  Comparison to show you guys.

EDIT:  Come to think of it I'm growing a little more fond of the newer textures....makes it look more like the original renders on drex files :S.  I'd still like your opinion.

I second that :D
altho grey would look more unified with Sovereign.

I've checked the deflector in FC and it was pale blue not violet

I know LOL I just haven't gotten around to changing the original deflector texture ;).  I may just leave the entire hull blue-grey, and just have a separate set of textures for the light grey for those who want that :).  Might be easier lol.

EDIT:  Changed the deflector

I'd like the light gray textures.  They look good.

Which is why I'm going to include the grey set alongside of the blue-grey :)

EDIT:  I was intending on showing pictures LOL Here they are :) There's some scaling issues with the escape pods...For the life of me I can't size them right :S

Double Edit:  Finished the Nacelle and secondary hull textures :)

This is looking very crisp and detailed... it's been a long time coming for this usually neglected ship.

Great work!

Thanks :) I'm doing my best to get this thing PERFECT...And I have to thank god for the Liquify tool LOL Comes useful if you don't get curves right (and a few spots...yeah they weren't correct!) I'm still having scaling issues with the escape pods...I think the ones on the top saucer may be larger than the bottom  :wtf  Although I'm going by how they are on the texture itself...(I'm using P81's as a base and drawing over that)

EDIT:  I've made a registry :) There will be more than just the Appalacia :D

looks like a wolf head to me... and wasn't this brought up before??
Canon is what people argue exists on ships that don't exist.
