Phaser is right Eclipse, your Bussards seem too big.

This isn't my model though, it's C2X/P81's model :P

I may rescale it a little though.  As far as the panelling, I'm using the Sovereign's colour scheme...that might be why it looks a bit darker lol.  I may just ligthen it just a bit, not too much.  Then again, I may just darken the hull (not the panelling) a bit to kinda match that photo...Then again, I might also add more panelling similar to that beside the armour. a darker grey like on the Sovereign.  This isn't finished y'all :P

EDIT:  Also too, it could be that there aren't very many Aztec panels too.  Either way, I'm still working on this :P

DOUBLE EDIT:  Ok, I just looked, there seems to be more paneling like on the Sovereign's outer edge of the saucer.  I feel if I add that it might make the armour look a bit lighter :).  I'm gonna see what I can texture in in the next couple of days!  I'm taking a LOT of artistic license with this thing :)

Here we go :).  I think the Sovereign style panels make the contrast a bit more easy.  It definitely tones down the Armour a bit :D

However I screwed up at the nose of the Saucer LOL I'll fix that soon :D

Might have to call it a Sovereign-runner. :P

Sorry Eclipse, I totally forgot it wasn't your model! I do like the colour scheme and panelling. Ties it in with the Sovie and seems logical since they share escape pods so why not hull materials and so forth?  :D

Btw, are you going to model in the torpedoes on the front of the saucer? It looks crap as just a texture.

I've been thinking of how I wanna do that for a while now LOL

Thank you!  Coming from an accomplished modeler and texturer, that's a extremely good compliment :D

YAY!? Exams and Spring Semester are finally over!? More time to work on these babies!

I've started work on the Sovereign again, and I'm planning on working on both Sov and Steam at the same time, kill two birds with one stone so to speak :)

The upside of texturing the FC pack is I can have a full .PSD file for the ID map, and I can release the .psd files for the entire ship if I so choose :D.? This pack will require the Skinning and Damaging tool for several ships :D (i'm excited!)

Sorry for the lack of updates as of late, I've been pretty busy.  But I haven't forgotten these babies LOL.  I'll post updated pictures soon.  I've figured out a lot in the last couple of weeks on texturing curved surfaces :D.

Ok I've started back on the textures.  I figured out how to get the curve of the aztec panels like CG did on his Sov 1.0 (1.9 on my install, but mainly because I've added my own pack of ships :D).  I'm on my girlfriends computer, so I'll have to wait till I get home to upload any pictures (I also have to get some ingame shots!).  As for the Steamrunner, is there anyone who can help me convert this thing?  I've been using Max 8 for the updates, and well, the last time I tried the NIFTools exporter I had problems.

Simple, I used the UVM Map co-ordinates as a guide.   I'll have to make a tutorial soon with photos (unfortunately I'm still at my girlfriends  ) since I'm not good at explaining things.

Ok, I've made the fore torpedo bays for the Steamrunner!  Tell me what you think!

Can't complain, they look as good as torpedo bays can.

LOL Thanks Kirk!  I just finished the aft bay mapping it and everything.  The torpedo textures are on the top saucer glow :D that way I won't have the hassle of making a new texture for the damned thing...I'm gonna have to tweek the texture a bit, and the pictures are pretty much self explanitory as to why...

EDIT:  Ok, I forgot to mention...the Steamrunner model is done...now on to texturing her!

EDIT 2:  What is the size of the Steamrunner...I'm hating this scaling issue LOL

Calvin grows up to be Frazz. The logical continuation of this is, of course, that Frazz then grows up to be Edward Norton's character from Fight Club. And thus, all four of these characters are gods.Let's go one more step. Calvin grows up to be Jeremy, who grows up to be Frazz, who grows up to be "Tyler Durden," while Suzie grows up to be Haruhi Suzumiya; since Kyon becomes The Doctor, this leads to the inescapable conclusion that after the end of Fight Club, Calvin becomes Captain Jack.

I think the size is like 2X that of a defiant.

that is saucer space alone hmmm
