I see... ...A Buzzard assembly. Looks pretty though.

EDIT: This is like when we had those magic eye books and I was the only one who couldn't see them.

Uhm....I haven't started on the bottom saucer texture (which is where the bussard texture is) so I didn't do this lol.  Though you guys have given me a good idea with this :P (cookie goes to Voyager for pointing that out) I even think it's the mapping...

BTW, it looks more like a dragon

I really, really hate to correct spelling, but I too often see Star Trek fans misspell that word.  It's bussard, not buzzard.  I'm not going to rub it in because I don't want to seem like an a$$hole.

Anyway, I love the new Steamrunner class.  I can't wait to see the other First Contact ships!

It's not exactly new, it's the p81 with a twist lol.  I've just given her phasers and running lights, and a seperate ID map.  I'll be doing the same with the Norway.  However, the SNS Akira is one of the best Akira's out there so I won't be messing with that one...Unless there's demand for it.

Well, the windows are too blue in my opinion on the SNS Akira, so that would be something I'd change.

I changed the SNS Akira windows to a white colour but for accuracy, it's more of a white wine yellow. Also the hull on the Akira is actually slightly tinted blue so maybe perhaps greyscale it  and darken it.

Not to mention that the SNS Akira's engines don't glow in all the places they should. :P

Those look pretty neat! May I ask if the Model(s) are rescaled correctly? The Steamrunner available seems to be 3times the size it should be compared to the other ships. (If this has askes or stated somewhere just say so, It's been a time since I was here) Looking forward to DL those.

Wow, I've so totally went over the 2 year deadline I've been talking about for over two years now lol.  With the recent change in this, I want to get this done well...soon, I do not know when I'll get these babies in game and HP'd, HOPEFULLY within the next few years.  That's counting vacations, sick days, times like this when I don't feel like doing anything (Lurve Lazy Dayz).  I have worked a bit here and there on both the Sovereign and the Steamrunner.

Thing is, I'm curious to know how the ID maps are going to work out on the Steamie, mainly because they appear a bit darker in Max (could just be the Rendering).  I'm going to keep on trucking with this, and hopefully get a lot accomplished soon.

The sovereign, I'm still working on her.  I've worked hard on the secondary hull and the Nacelle textures, all of which are turning out great.  I'm so glad of the UVM Unwrapping feature, as that's given me a basis on the textures, and a new way to line everything up.  I've fixed the secondary hull near the aft ID area and have sized it up to where it should be.  And I've worked on lining the aztec patterning better with the Saucer Section.

I'll post pictures when I can.

Thank you JTK!  And yes, Fullmetal Alchemist is one of my favorite Anime shows :).  Work is continuing on this as we speak...I've pretty much finished the ID textures...the only thing I need to do is fix the spotlights that are on the inside of the registries on the aft of the Nacelles (I also need to redo that spotlight on the pennant as well :S).  But, I come today with good news for those CG Sovereign fans...

I'm about to release a preview pack SPECIFICALLY for the CG Sovereign.  All this is doing, is just adding 6 new ships in game (specifically the ones named for the FC pack), and updating the Sovereign and Enterprise ID textures.  I'm not adding the HP to the pack, mainly because I feel that almost everyone has their Sovereign HP pretty much the way they'd like it.  I don't wanna overwrite that!  I've got the ship file set up for the stock Sovereign HP.  Anyone is welcome to change this!

EDIT:  Forgot to add...the texture sizes will be 1024x1024...as I can't get the registries looking correctly in the 2048 format, they're a bit jaggy :S
