thx guys :D
love this ship.  don't forget to smooth out those nacelles. though you probably know already, :)
don't worry mate, I haven't forgot about the smoothing :). In fact the most of the model is without smoothing
atm. I have to redo the whole smoothing but i'm to lazy to do it all at one time, so just the parts with
textures are smoothed atm.

just a small update today, was the most time drunken at the weekend lol

I like picture 13, it looks like you should be able to replace the engines with different versions, like one for transwarp etc.

She looks absolutely awesome. Can't wait!

Re: Acheron Class (update 18/04/09 - new shuttles)
« Reply #70 on: April 18, 2009, 11:46:34 AM »
today I have again a modeling update for you :D

These are the first two shuttles for the Acheron,
they will be launchable with the shuttle framework.

shuttle 1 is kinda the standard shuttle of the Acheron, it's a mix between the type 9
and the type 6 shuttle and is my own design. The shuttle is atm unarmed,
but probably I will add a small phaser at the front. Polycount is 1,9k triangles

shuttle 2 is like the type 11 shuttle a heavy long-range shuttle. It is armed with
2 front pulse phasers, 2 sideward phaser strips and 2 front micro-quantum torpedo tubes.
Polycount is 3,7k triangles ( It is quite a lot for a shuttle but i had just to much fun while building it :D)
The original design of the shuttle is from Paul Cargile, but i took some freedom while building it :)

Both shuttle meshes are 100% unified and error-free :D

I plan to do a third shuttle, but I have no design idea yet, so if someone out there
knows a cool shuttle design, be free to post it here :D

c&c is like always welcome

I can haz 2nd shuttle? They're awesome. We don't get enough shuttles these days.

Very cool. :D

I'm seeing hints of the Delta Flyer in these, was that intentional or is just my imagination over thinking it?

That Type 6/9 shuttle looked pretty neat as well. Very nicely done.

I do too, also I notice some traits of other Voyager seen shuttles and small ships implemented in these, Good Job.
