What engineering hull?
I guess that you are going for a more of a Kelvin designed Constellation with JJ-prise components.

It looks like something JJ Abrams would make.
Anyway, while it seems to have some echoes of the original Constellation, it's...very different.

So's the JJ-Connie. I think in the JJVerse everything looks different.

The JJVerse is a sick and twisted view of Star Trek. Lol. I will watch the movie but I wont like it :P

Oh and refit JJ Abrams Enterprise:

I'm going to cry.

Pretty much...

Ummm, FourChan, couldn't TNG, DS9, VOY, and ENT be considered sick and twisted views of Star Trek?  Especially the latter three?  Don't say you won't like something that you haven't seen yet. :P

Nooo, I prefer some of the more reasonable fan projections on that refit, thank you very much.  That's horrendous.  johnnymuffintop's conjecture comes to mind.

Anyways Aeries, you might try letting the nacelles lose some weight.  That may help the balance of a design that always had fairly small engines.

Okay, just because you slap on the refit nacelles and saucer doesn't make it JJVerse.  I know that wasn't you, I've seen that before on other sites.

The Constellation is younger than the Constitution, JJVerse or not.
I thought it was a lot older.
the Constitution Class was launched 40 years before the Constellation Class...

Yeah, what I said.

I think maybe if you lose the orange in the bussards and make the blue bits instead of them on the side and instead on the top? And slide the nacelles back?

I just photoshopped my own concept of a refit JJPrise.  I got the original from Ex-Astris-Scientia, then did some modifications.

Here is the one I made and comparisons.

As much as I like all this, we really should get back ontopic and Aeries should get the next post. Before Jimmy comes along and says it anyway.

Okay take something that you grew up with, liked, enjoyed and everything then all of a sudden some new person came in, twisted it around and turned it into crap.

Good Example: The Show Knight Rider.

Lose the enginneering hull.

 :(

In no way, shape or form should a Constellation class have a extremely noticable enginnering hull. Not even in the self contained ego-centric universe style of J.J Abrams.

Nacelles are good though.
Can't wait for 2014 to start.

Without it, and merely a second torpedo pod:

The torpedo pod doesn't look very JJVerse-ish.  Streamline it and lose the hull extending around the torpedo ports.
