Are you using a symmetry modifier on the saucer by any chance? Because if you don't, the yellow and blue pattern on the collar isn't symmetrical at all.

Been knocked out by any ear infection for the last four days (and I'm still deaf in my right ear) but I wanted to do something quick and simple before I hit the excelsior again.

Might I suggest both NX-style and TOS-style texturing variants for this ship?

I thought the Kelvin was a really cool idea. I may try and put a more modern take on it soon. Great job though!

actually, Phoe, I thought the e hull looked like an early beer can!

and the sketches on the bottom are the literall Matt Jeffries concept sketches

I got a look at this earlier before he got that far

I forgot how to add pictures but there are orthos of an Enterprise era Daed out there as well.

Off to a great start, looking good.

Take care that ear infection. People usually think that it is no big deal.

I had one years ago and let it linger too long, It caused me partial hearing loss to this day. It was in my right ear too,  :)

Isn't the under saucer's aztec texture a bit different?

I don"t remember the red standing out as much on the top of the saucer, but a nice start.
Though much is taken, much abides; and though
We are not now that strength which in old days
 Moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

Im not looking at the specs but i think thats because the hatches maybe to big and perhaps need to be more outboard.

Looks really good, especially the shuttle bay and aft torpedo launcher.  Love the detail.  Can't help but feel like the hull should be whiter tho.
