It may just be me having been awake for nearly 24 hours, so I could be incredibly wrong about this

Does the centre of the saucer look out of line with the deflector to anyone else?

Not for the first time I have decided to rebuild a secondary hull rather than revamp an old one.

:eek i'm liking that!

if i may (and not all will like this) lower the nacelles so from the front they are under the saucer.

edit1: actually do that then bring forward and aligned with the central part of the secondary hull. picture on way

as you can see in the picture the nacelles are about centre of the "y" axis which acording to my research should negate the need for the aft undercut allowing for more hull.

the nacelles from the blueprints are in the same place as the original version so I will be building the pylons next.

Started with a cylinder, extrude the basic pre cowel shape. the cut the cylinder down the center line. Using vertex cut cut the cowel join to just short of where the deflector housing starts and extruded it up the select the front polys of the new raised cowel and keep extruding and scaleing to form the front end.

As for the under nacelle design, I have no plans for it.

Not to mention it breaks the line of sight rule, plus it wouldn't be canon to the plans for the S5 refit.

the nacelles i was on about would be in the same position as the galaxy class ones but further forward.
