seriously...HOW did you get that Metal-Flake effect on those two?

First of all I contacted Andrew Probert to ask some questions regarding the TMP paint job. He put me in touch with Jason Ware who has scratch built a Enterprise-A 6ft model. He gave me same advise and his website has some great source matiral from his research.

http://www.galaxyphoto.com/jw_ent.htm

I then applied this to my aztecs maps and added a spec map to match.

Here is it again on my primary TMP project which will be my main ship project after the new year.

Nice, very nice. though is it the angle of the renders or does the saucer rim a little too thick and some angles showing???

If you're taking reference from Jason Ware's model, then the saucer is too thick, his (otherwise gorgeous) model has a noticeably thick saucer.

the model was built long before I knew of Jasons model. It is in correct shape and scale to the CGI model built for the directors cut TMP

Your connie does look good. I also will soon improve my own version as well. I have some minor nitpicks on your mesh so far- The front part of the nacelles look a bit too squarish and they should be more round. Also, the torpedo bay should be more trapezoidal and not square. Good work so far! :)

The way you two keep bouncing ideas off each other, you two should pick a ship to collaborate on, it'd probably be one of the best mods ever!

Taken Wiley's suggestions onboard and also noticed major errors in the deflector.

So here is the corrected deflector and torpedo bay
