some last minute tweaks.

fixed most of the smoothing atop the shuttle bay and smoothed the top phaser array alittle more.

Under side has the small raised area added and couple of minor mesh errors fixed.

Deflector indent also altered.

Next texturing.

..or you could create those Wolf 359 ships, then I will create the same ships, and people complain of both of us creating the same ships.  :funny

Are you creating the "All Good Things..." Galaxy X variant? Just like I am most likely about to.

If this turns out well then there will be a galaxy X.

Also I'm not ruling out a nebula class at this stage.

Before I would do a wolf 359 pack I'd have to make an excelsior class first as well as the smaller craft, though I have already released the saratoga.

And for the record I don't see myself in compertion with my fellow modellers, if it was not for Wiley making so many JJprises I would not have seen the short fall in my own to inspire me to build another to improve on my own work (and no, I'm not planning on a MK6 jjprise). I can only speak for myself here but I'm a star trek fan of the TMP era so yes I'm more likely to build TMP era ships that have already been done to death but hey it is fun for me to build my childhood heros. :dance

Baz, you have come so far since you first started here at BCC! This rendition of the Galaxy Class is a real testament to your skill; I'm greatly impressed.

For my own curiosity and genuine interest, might I suggest that alongside your standard texture set, that you release a 40xx - 40xx resolution texture set complete with normal maps? This baby deserves some CG render time! :)

That aside, I absolutely love the speculars you've delivered so far. If you keep to this palette, you'll be rockin' a hardcore winner. :)

Edit: Just noticed some flipped normals in the forward torpedo bay walls, and one or two very minor smoothing issues; that said, when your textures are applied, I'm not even sure how noticable the smoothing issues would be. (future reference: Smoothing issues seen on Deck 2 (shuttlebay level) on the top (the polies surrounding the bridge could use a separate smoothing group, or perhaps insetting them to create a buffer zone between smoothed areas?) And inside the dorsal (?) phaser strip. Like I said, though, they're pretty minor.

Amazing job! (you don't need me to tell you that tho... :D)

And for the record...seconded!
Though much is taken, much abides; and though
We are not now that strength which in old days
 Moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

The speculars look nice, but could you add some variety to the speculars? Much like your Enterprise-Refit, it uses many levels of gray to gray-white.
