Hey Baz, may I suggest maybe mapping a single Registry Map so that you can only release one single blank texture...would also help us out a bit.

I have plans for the following but not within any time scale with this one: -

Enterprise-D (based on 6ft'er with Blue generations colour scheme. May do series colour later)

Dauntless (re-christened Enterprise-D from above)

Oddyssey (strictly this was the 4ft'er and mine is based on the 6ft but I will release this after the Galaxy X as the nacelle mods were left on the model for this incarnation of the Oddyssey)

Battle damaged Ent-D (random damage not canon)

Galaxy X

Galaxy refit (my own take on the evolution of the class not canon)

I will also release blank textures so people can make their own regs up.

As is the SFRD way these will be seperate releases as and when they are done.
That sounds cool,
BTW, the "Odyssey" was a standard galaxy, it was the Venture that had the extra phasers

True but actually it was never ment that the Venture had those nacelle phasers... It was the model they used for the galaxy x but they had problems removing those nacelle strips so they left them. In tears of the prophets, the venture is there as wel and she doesn't have the nacelle strips (cgi)

Are you sure? True the Venture model had the extra phaser emitters, however they are back to front when compared with the Galaxy X. Compare the Galaxy X pic on this page http://memory-beta.wikia.com/wiki/Galaxy_X_class with the pic of the Venture on this page http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/File:USS_Venture_and_Excelsiors.jpg and you should see that the phaser emitter bulge is rotated 180 degrees in comparison.

The Venture is supose to be an improved MK2 Galaxy. The reason that non of the Galaxies have the extra strips in later CGI shots is because the used the CGI model of the Enterprise done for Generations and didn't have the time to add the extra details when they converted it over to lightwave after the handover. The had alredy done a patial rebuild and a completly new texture set. It also explains the dark parts on the back of the neck. These where bad material settings.

But they were pretty cool anyways.  War stripes painted on the back would be neat.

Been having a nightmare getting the top of the saucer sorted. after 2 days of attempt mapping, I found the phaser strip was in the wrong place.

So bite the bullet and deleted it and rebuilt the phaser. Now it is aligned properly.

Also the aztec started.

Nice aztec texture, but it looks a bit plain, other than lack of other details (windows, escape pods, etc). Could you possibly add some contrasty panels to break up the paneling?

yeah current saucer aztec just the starting point. By the time I got the phaser sorted and the top mapped I was too knacked to do anymore.

I will be adding to it.

Very nice, somehow, the last picture of the saucer reminds me at the saucer of the uss faragut (nebula)..

That's because there aren't any windows yet. As I recall, the Nebula had far fewer windows outboard of the phaser strip than the Galaxy class had.

Indeed, the physical model had no windows (outside the phaser). Cgi version did had the same or almost the same saucer as galaxy.

Orlando looks very nice, like seeing her come back to life. Was a tester on his original and really liked the design.

Interesting how you went on the engines. I would have thought they wouldn't suit it, but the way you did them, they look very cool. Great how you get that aztec to pop out.

I think something reminiscent of the Ambassador type grid would have looked better on the inside of the indention on top though, just my opinion. :)

Like how the Galaxy is starting to shape up too. A cookie for your great work.
