I've looked at several sources, and moslty trying reverse engineer the studio model.

Found some nice refs yesterday showing the model unaltered in profile so will line mine up to this one.

If anyone has a better set of plans I'll be happy to look and use them.

One bit of suggestion tho. Don't use the Greg Jein model, but the original one. The Jein model is missing a lot of the detailing of the original and isn't 100% accurate to it either.

I agree with you there the Jein ship looks somehow wrong. The only model pics I'm using are the ST3 model.

Was not really happy with the hull base texture so scraped the old one and started a fresh. Much happier with it now and the pylons are done.

Much better - umm still not 100% sure about the colours In the pylons, look better now they're not so bright, but not quite sure lol, otherwise the shine dont bother me as i know the specs will do that but she's LOVELY!!

Awesome, I reckon the shinning is so it shows off the speculars.

Can someone please read my posts instead of just ignoring them?

I said the textures shine a lot, is it normal? (It looks now like a baffled up ds9 that went through a superb metallic nebula or some kind.) Or do you need to add the brown coloring still?

nah, it was probably made here in the states, but they had to send it back 'cause it wasn't built to metric measurements :P

well, either that, or the trek equivelant of British Leyland got the contract!

Ok back to the business at hand.

Docking ring well under way. I have also added the thruster ports as well.
