indeed, cant wait to see it fleshed out... type X phasers, warp 9... just for core system protection. not for deep space exploration.

kind of like a border fleet for each system of the federation.

Testing the station, but like i put in the mail, the station is able to fly and move like a ship. Tiq said he finds it normal?

this was my idea.

The station was shown flying in the pilot episode, besides it will add those people who take screenies.

O'Brien used the stations deflector shield, to lower the stations "inertial mass", thus allowing the station relatively rapid movement, on 6 thrusters only. This modification was done, to move the station from it's original position (orbit of Bajor), to the mouth of the wormhole.

Yeah could be, but i think most people prefer that the station is just "standing still", then turning and flying with the mass of a nova class vessel..

The AI will never use the station properly if it is allowed to move. Collisions will be a constant problem. The AI will also attempt to rotate through all torpedo arcs resulting in the station just spinning in place really slowly.

Also, it will just look stupid...... IMO

The DS9 for DS9FX is mobile. If the acceleration values are set low enough it won't move around that quickly. It actually makes it a little more fun to go up against when the thing can come after you. Hell that's one of the things I LOVE about the PStation that came out awhile ago.

Jep, i mean.. What the hell would martok and gul dukat say if they see the station spinning and flying around or through the ships? Damar: "have i been drinking too much kanar?"

Just disable the propulsion stuff, it looks stupid. it was just a script stuff in the first episode to move the station to the wormhole. They never did it again otherwise they could move the station to every fight.
