Maybe it's just the lighting?

His star trek
Will go on forever.
But tell him
While he wanders his starry sea
Remember, remember me."

Looks like, yeah.

Nice texture work so far, regardless.

It is the lighting.

the red squares on most TMP ships saucers are meant to be hatches as seen in TMP, you've got to much of them (only one is supposed to be per each segment and they should be considerably smaller ;)

alsoI'm not sure about the yellow bits on aztecing, might look nice in game tho ;)

oh and the red lines should fit within one segment

I've always liked the aztec on the Excelsior.

I am pleased how the aztec came out.

Back to the Daedalus. Got most of the sphere section textured.

You know what I was going to make a Daedalus for practice (Because I'm stuck on MY Luna's secondary hull....)...I'm liking how yours is turning out Baz!

Indeed quite a sexy Daedalus
Though much is taken, much abides; and though
We are not now that strength which in old days
 Moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

Both ships are looking fantastic.  You know I always wondered what a Daedalus TMP refit would look like.  That would be cool.

Here is something I knocked up in little over 8 hours. She is 12.7K polys.

Forgot to mention that this is a fully unified mesh the whole ship is one part.

This makes me think that the Enterprise in Star Trek XI is a very odd take on the Phase II Constitution.
