Basic aztec now on most of the ship. just the groovy coloured areas to go.

She will be 4 main textures and one minor for warp warn up. Still not sure about ID mapping yet but if I do then theres another texture. But still a far cry from the 10 + textures of the mk5

She's really taking shape.  One thing I'd suggest when you get to the bussards is for "impulse mode" they be a very, VERY dark, almost black, blue with lighter spots of blue around the fans with one spot of bright blue around the center, and very bright blue with white around the outer edge and center for "warp mode".

double-check the warp warmup scripts, Baz.  I had to do some typo correcting on them to get them to work on several of your mods so I could see the warmups.  even had to correct the ones for the excelsiors so it'd work.

The Enterprise will likely be using Ftech rather than just plain texture swapping.  However, I've never had a problem with the warp warmups working.  I just had problems with them turning back off.

that's what I corrected.  several of the slashes had been inverted in the copy-paste process of setting them up; I just put the slashes back.

and I can't get them to turn back off, either, so we're in the same boat.

if you can use FTECH to work it (which makes sense for the fins, here), mabey older mods can be retrofiited to use the new procedure.

Easily fixed.

Code: [Select]
"stopTrack": {
"grille2_glow": {
0.0: "data/Models/Ships/WCtmpent/grille2_glow.tga",
4.0: "data/Models/Ships/WCtmpent/grille_glow.tga",
}
}

Add something like that to the Custom/Ships/shipname.py.  You'll see the spot it needs to be.  Just replace file names as needed.  Also, the "4.0" can be altered to affect how many seconds before the texture switches back.

where were you when I had a working PC?!

I think those might be in the appropriate files, but not working right with some graphics cards.  I seem to remember someone reporting that the on/off for the warp glows worked just fine with their graphics Cards, just not my stocker (which i had to download a 17 meg update for to run 1024 textures!)

Baz, I think it would be awesome if someone did a flower-power texture set as a tribute to the decade that spawned trek lol

Coming along nicely :D

*takes C.O. by the ear* don't you dare!
besides, it was conceived in the "Camelot" era, and the US navy had VERY little to do with cultural influences.

and I'd A suggested "Yellow Submarine"  :evil: (at least it wasn't Austin Powers!)

Minor niggle:

I think the saucer needs to be sat a little further forward on the neck. The over hang at the back looks a bit big compared to film caps and TR's renders.
But it took me a while to notice that, so no pressure ;)

Liking the textures so far!

Impressive baz although I really never liked this version of the enterprise. I think it's the way the engineering hull juts out from the saucer support.
