Aztec looks really good but the overall colour of the saucer looks very purple/blue/grey compared to the nacelles (which are bang on colour-wise imo)

Edit: Check this out, obviously it's in a much brighter environment but it could be a good reference http://www.trekcore.com/merchandise/images/stgame/trekgame6.jpg

Your attention to detail is as impressive as ever, Baz - that first shot looks like the close-up of the prime 1701 just as it was about to blow up in TSFS.

I think I just had a nerdgasm visualizing that on the JJ-prise. Teehee. (Yes, I'm going to Hell. Thanks for noticing.)

Honestly, I don't get all the hatred of the "JJ Enterprise". I was a bit iffy about the design back in 2009, but over the years it's kinda grown on me. The only major detail I would've changed (at some point), would be to give it a more red/orange colored bussard. But the design as a whole is entirely acceptable. Hell, i'd say the above version is probably one of the best renditions i've seen yet.

the argument over the JJprise design basically boils down to "they changed it, now it sucks" for some fans.  others don't like how they 'hot rodded' the design; american's have a distaste for the aerodynamic design school because of bad memories associated with late eighties and early nineties cars that had slushbox automatics and under-powered engines.

This is epic and the prettiest take on the JJprise I've seen, yet.

HOT. :dance

Saucer still looks darker than the rest of the ship to me though, but maybe that's just the lighting in the render

Edit: Just noticed you're missing the more prominant hull lines/ grid on the saucer. Also I think there needs to be a bit more space between the name and the registry
