FarShot, trust me, I'd love to see these designs rendered, or even in combat in BC (as well as Legacy), I just need to get some rendering software and a computer that I can run it on. My current tower is running Ubuntu, made from recycled Gateway parts from like 10 years ago, with a Newegg shipped cardboard box. As soon as I upgrade, I'll be making these.
Also, TIME FOR THE NX CLASS!

She's essentially a cross between the Kelvin, the NX, the Poseidon class from Star Trek: Legacy, and a bit of TOS Enterprise in there.
I was REALLY aiming for a NX/TOS nacelle look. I figure, the older you get in the JJverse, the more looking like TOS you should get, though with some subtle tweaks to not exactly look TOS.

I ran into an interesting tweak you might wanna try:  someone over in the Armada modelers group took "kelvin" to mean the temperature scale and made a TNG update dubbed "Fahrenheit"  I was thinking a TMP/Era X variant (inevitably named "celcius").  besides, I'd like to see your take on JJTMP.

I do in fact have some sketches for some JJTMP era ships. Just need to get to making them.
Just a hint as to what the direct is I'm taking it... imagine the JJTMP Enterprise with nacelles based on General Grievious ship's engines (since both were designed by Ryan Church I figured it be a decent thing to take inspiration from).

thanks, LMM...reminds me of a 70's Lincoln or a 50's british Lux yaght.

I can see why you'd like to use the design idea, JMT.  lets hope George doesn't mind much.

KGS, you aren't really missing much (at least story wise) with Ep III, but it is something to watch for completion and for the opening battle.
And I highly doubt George would care, once the attrocity of Ep. 1 came out I lost all respect for him.
