Ok, I dont normally grumble about winter because I prefer it colder. I cant breath in hot, humid weather.  But damnit, I do NOT like trying to put up christmas lights when its 36 degrees F and the wind is blowing 90 miles and hour [ok, maybe only 20-30]. Damned mother nature tried to knock me off the ladder MANY times!!!

I personally hate winter. I'm from Arizona and I'm used to it being 100-115 80% of the year. Spending my whole life in that kind of heat I freeze my ass off when it drops below 70. At night it's getting into the mid to low 40s so I now have to limit my smoking to day time hours   :'(

HA!  i knew there were still Puffers around!  find yourselves a sheltered spot if you have a nic fit in crap weather.

here's a weather challenge for ya.  try having a smoke in 15 above with 50 mile per hour wind gusts and random snow squalls!

I'm still trying to find a couple of my heavier winter weather pics.  including one that collapsed the Front Porch!

edit: AHA! found em!  we got hot with a thanksgiving snow, a heavy one.  used this as a wallpaper for a couple weeks.

Winter in Bulgaria, no way. Here was snowing in two-three towns for a hour and that was it it. Yesterday I was all day with a T-shirt (Judas Priest album (sad wings of destiny) with a fallen angel). Then It was 11-12C and that is very much for a winter. I though a month ago, that now will have deep snow and I will be with my mountain bicycle, to explore strange new mototracks and to seek out new ice and new corners for drifting. To boldly go where no biker has gone before :funny

Monday -50s.
Tuesday-60s
Wednesday-30s
Today....20s!!!

More wind today too. Still no snow, which is rather surprising. We've only had snow once this winter, and it only lasted about 5 hours before it all melted.

we've been hovering around 20-27F for couple days now. earlier we got 10" of snow, but it melted away.. no promises of snow yet.  :( plowing snow beats woodworks.. and I have month left of my contract. Probably won't renew it, 8?/day ( yes, per day, not per hour) isn't sufficient payment for the crap I have to go through at work  :P

well, it's only temporary job, since I also get ~400? from welfare and additional ~230? for living costs since I live alone. if I would be in real, solid job, I would get from 8-10? per hour on top of what I get from welfare office  :D but no such luck error yet.  :( it's hard to find a job here, since everyone wants experienced fellows, no-one hires a guy who got out from the school almost two years ago. I guess I have to see if I can find adult training programs.  :P

I really like the cold weather. But now the temperatures are about 12-18C. This summer we've been having temperatures about 35-40C and I think that is normal weather. But I very live snow so I'm not giving Christmas without snow.

What I want is a White Christmas. I vaguely remember one when I was about 4, but it hasn't even attempted snowing on Christmas day for quite awhile. For once I want a happy Christmas.

STUPID SNOW!!!!

Ok, so we are having a damned blizzard. Not even joking about that. We are under a blizzard warning for the next TWENTY FOUR HOURS!!!!  They are predicting 16-18inches by morning. 40-50mph winds. Temp down to -2F. I cant even see across the street.

So I went to get new tires cause mine are really worn down. 4 hours later....

New tires
new brake rotors [99% worn]
new brake pads [100% worn]
new brake fluid [after a full brake system flush]
new battery [cold cranking amps...ZERO]
new battery cables [cables worn and ends were corroded into the old terminals]
new battery shouds.

Total....$1,478.
