Looks nice so far. The landing triangles/pads are a bit dark, but some weathering could blend them in.

Yes on the third leg is under the neck.

On the refit there are four landing pads and a more clear seperation plan on the neck.

wait, the third leg on the TOS was in the neck?

I still wonder what's with the red and orange decoration in the window clusters

4096's will be a bit too much for anything but modern deliberate gaming rigs, but, whatever makes your cuppa.

and, baz, still got your MVAM refit, too.

best line I've ever read
Me: mine [my bridges] would probably be simple to get the characters to use.  the only person that sits is the captian.
Baz: space is vast there[sic] legs will be tired by the time they get to the next planet

No offense to the ship models... but that looks... bad :P

"MVAM" on a TOS/TMP Connie is just a bad idea entirely, since there aren't any impulse engines on the stardrive. How would the stardrive move after separation? Likewise, how would a saucer go into warp without warp drive?

I don't think it is a bad idea, the galaxy class saucer doesn't have warp engines either.  But I assume that the saucer would be just a big lifeboat and the stardrive left behind, if it was too damaged.  lol  Unless they used the shuttles as tugs. :-P

It was meant as an emergency system.  As in, warp core breach imminent and core ejection systems aren't working.

How are we so sure that the stardrive wasn't equipped with "emergency" impulse engines?

Look at the Daedalus Class, the impulse engines were built into the rear section of the warp engines... I don't see why that couldn't also be implemented on the Constitution Class.

Ever since she was designed, it was envisioned.  It's just that when it came to the modelling, the plane was never really defined on the dorsal part, just aft of the shuttlebay.  The division was eliminated even more with the more streamlined Nemesis refit.

Well if you look at all of the classes that an Enterprise has been(minus the NX) it looks like they all could do it easily.
All hail the messiah!

Ok so had a big day today texturing my new constitution class, i have textured the main hull, the nacelle and started on the MISC texture too. I have decided to upload a few pics so you guys can see how she is fairing

First up is the deflector array, this time instead of using a single base colour,Brown last time i think, i decided to try and make it a little bit more real, so i found a picture of some copper on google, polar coordinated it and then using a darker colour done 2 rings where the ridges where, added a drop shadow and a bevel, i think it looks quite good

inside and pylon just showing the inside of the pylon and nacelle as you can see still not finished yet

side view so far

what you guys think so far?

You know, no matter how many iterations of this class of ship is made, I never get tired of a new one.

Excellent work.

Does it just look that way because of a slight perspective or are the Nacelle Pylons indeed angled forward?
(Sorry if that doesn't make sense, i don't know hot to express that properly atm)
