The akula class was just a TMP apollo - BUT i could do it with a torpedo pod on Both parts by the nacelle and be a veriant - that would be interesting, what do you think?? or other ideas maybe? just throw them my way

If you do an Akula varient I would stick a phase 2 style torpedo pod on the bottom pylon but not on the top. Keep the small hull extrusion though, its quite nice.

A point to be brought up is that the TOS Connie had no visible torpedo launchers, so arguably no TOS ship should have them. On the other hand, it definitely would make the ship look more aggressive. It's your call. I do agree with Mr. Ewoks though, if you did go that route, a Phase 2 style launcher would probably be best.

I like to think that because of the small size of the Akula that an internal launcher wouldn't be viable because of size limitations. So an external launcher make more sense.

I couldn't think of how else to say it lol Like a capital 'A' shape but it has a rectangular bottom, then the two sides converging to a curved point at the front

I dunno how but this is an idea, it would be obviously smoother on top the lines are just to show how the extrusion would work. I tried to make it look like a neb pod but a bit more rudimentry. Maybe also make it a bit more deeper in height aswell.
