forgive me if this has been asked before, but, any chance you'll make the Chancellor class variant from the Gorkon books too?

That is looking awesome so far.

excelent work

may i ask:
are the details extruded out of the main model or are they seperate meshes placed on the model and then welded?

Ok, this is how i have done then, They are part of the MAIN MESH, how i achived this is to select all face's where the detail is going to be going, at that point i detach it as a clone *JUST IN CASE* Then using a PLANE i draw out all the shapes of the detail, then i select Snap to, Right click on it and select vertex. go back to the part i cloned, turn on vertex and then CUT, using the snap to i go around each part cutting out the detail i need, making sure to weld and stray verts, if you don't quite understand what i mean i really dont mind doing some pictures for you.

Im afriad i have NO idea what you are on about :( sorry

i have only a vage idea of what you mean but i use Gmax not 3ds Max so might not be possible for me...

i do something similar i think...

i do use the cut polygon tool to do some of my details normally my windows which i model into the hull

but yeah pics would be good dude lol

Just letting you guys know my SSD went down last night and this is the 5th time since december, So i have installed windows to a new 120gig partition on one of my normal HDD's untill i get a response from Scan about my SSD, FORTUNANTLY before it completely went i managed to back up my vorcha and all files with it, so by the end of the day i should be back up and running, and be able to start work again on it tomorrow, this has just put me 3 days behind my ideal schedule sorry guys :(  :bitch:

:yay: thank goodness you didn't lose the work! Kudos to you for diligent backing-up.

She's a real beauty.

What are you thinking, regarding textures? You could afford to skimp on resolutio, with mesh detail like THAT!

The painstaking work you've put into this is really admirable.  Thanks for doing this.

Ok, as I stated I am now running 3 days behind schedule, so what can i do about it....I'll give you a hint, its 3:36am  :nono: im going to feel it tomorrow

BUT i got all the bottom detail done, all that's left to do now is to go over the top part and merge it all together into 1 single mesh, and then add in the last few bits of detail that i can not do while its using the symmetry modifier, since as you all well know there are a couple of asymmetric parts on the head, so that is all that is left to do :D then comes the CLEAN UP, BUT i will give you the stats as they are now.

Polys: 23.726
Tris: 23.726
Verts: 14.363

FPS: 143.761

now what else can i do tonight, AH i know, tease the shit out of you guys :D

Hows this for you guys

If it's not a unified mesh, it won't damage well in BC, and if you do unify it completely, that poly count will shoot up.

May I point out a missing detail that you are probably aware of?
There are what look like little narrow staircases in front of each of the large slanted grills either side of the Engineering arrowhead. (At least, there are on my playmates model - which is fairly screen-accurate.)

As stated as i get closer to the end, i will be adding this, and now i have :D
