Im still in process , to try and determine, Why this is happening, any help would be Nice, but I bet this has not been encountered before.

Edit: it seems as tho the MissionPlacements.py does nothing, when I had saved one for Junkyard, It saved a MissionPlacements.py in Main folder, I moved it into JYrd, not even a pyc was created, when I warped to Junkyard. HMMM , Still wonder Why tho, it even exists when I try to save a region [plantery system].
Theroy; Mite be something that was going to be in BC, but the developers didnt for one reason or other.

To be honest, I never used that.

My guess is that TG made it as simple as possible (for them=harder for the user) the Editor is probably doesn't care which system you are using.
Second guess: You may have to manually include the resulting file in your scripts. May I see one example file please?

*** SURE ***
I pasted the data inside the MissionPlacements.py, into the TholianDock1.py [using notepad]
then ran BC , pressed ` ,then typed Edit (),  then resaved thru Editor, and went and looked at TholianDock1.py the information I had pasted from MissionPlacements.py, had been removed by the system.

hmm can you reproduce that a second time?

Also I'd like to see the TholianDock.py before and after.

ah I see. BC seems to use the
Code: [Select]
# Position "TravelerWarpPlacement1"
# End position "TravelerWarpPlacement1"
lines to work on. Anyways seems you have to paste the MissionPlacements.py contents everytime...

Maybe So but it is NOT in another system [unless I Overlooked ,BIG time][[I just double checked]]
there is no reference to "TravelerWarpPlacement1" [[probaly my computer]].

I have Noticed, on my computer system [install of BC]  if I have a large# of ships and bases, different items will not function proparly.
