I wouldn't mind a slight update to the hubcaps as long as it's still familiar.

And yes, keep the keyholes.

"Repeaters"?

he probably means blinkers/turn signals.

You could probably swing just having a key hole on the drivers door, most modern cars don't have them on both sides anyway.

If you're going for a supercar vibe though, I'd go with a push-button starter.

I thought "repeaters" were the little side lights, similar to what a semi has. The original Delorean featured them.

-I've added the side "repeater lights"
-I've been playing around with a new hubcap design (I'll see if I can sketch up a few new ideas)
-Added the door handle
-Added rear car details
-Doors are now separated from model
-"Cleared out" the inside and included a rough interior with dashboard

If you guys have any ideas for possible wheel/hubcaps, feel free to post links to them. Enjoy!  :D

For fun, I hope we'll get to see a 2012 Delorean "Time Machine" Concept, evolve off of this one.

The Delorean is far from being the prettiest car, but it's certainly one of most iconic, primarily due to being the centerpiece of Back to the Future. And your 2012 concept, makes an "Edsel" of a car, look super cool :)

Keep the tyres and rims around the size you have now, that ensures more ride comfort than the current trend of 20"+ rims and anorectic rubberbands for tyres, and please, stick to 5-spoke rims, as they're at least one practical feature in this car as they'd be easy to clean. :D .. And I think since this will probably be a premium car, give the bumpers the parking radar sensors and reversing camera in the back.. And I'd say that Brembo Brakes  would be a must for performance car.    Keep up the good work!

i actually agree with that.  dub rims are getting annoying, just like the NY Yankees in baseball...BORING.

Honestly, the five spoke rims are, IMO, boring.  That's what I liked about the DeLorean's rims, they gave it a uniqueness.  I know I'm probably going to be in the minority here.

What I currently modeled for the rims are temporary.

I starting to think of a hybrid of the 5 and/or 6 spoke rims and the Delorean's original rims. If I do the time machine version, they also have to look cool when they glow.

I'll come up with something later today.

That looks freaky. I'll see that that looks like on the car.

Well, good luck Wiley.  It's a shame that this won't be a real car.

On the other hand, if it was, then Universal might get it into their heads to remake Back to the Future.

That looks like a pretty good compromise with the wheels.

Looks good.

You going to have an Aston Martin style pop up GPS screen in the indent on top of the dash?

That is cool. Could have that screen and a projector for a HUD on the Windscreen (windshield)?

But, but... Where do you put the Time Circuits and keypad? xD

Just kidding... that dashboard really looks super cool and high tech. Would go with the "futuristic" notion of the original Delorean (remember, when seen in the 50s, it was thought to be a spaceship) :P

That would probably be an app for the GPS/computer system. It might have voice command.

The futuristic stuff such as HUDs on the windshield would be cool for the time machine version. This version is more realistic to an actual car.

Compared to technology now from the 80s, if I were to re-imagine the time machine, some elements of the BTTF Delorean would be unchanged, but the coils and interior stuff would be drastically changed. It wouldn't be right if I were to slap the old time machine stuff on a new car.

Time Travel.  There's an app for that.
