Scripting BC demo

Is it possible to script/mod (add ships) using the BC demo?

Will I still require the foundation plugin etc? I need a hobby while Im at school and scripting ALWAYS is fun for me so if I can dload the bc demo and script it (and add in new ships =)) I'd be a happy man.

not really...  there are a couple Demo Mods at BCFiles, but thats about it...

So if I went into the pyc. files of the demo I wouldn't be able to change them?

you cant change pyc files...  you might be able to change the py files for hardpoints and such but i dont know...  i never did have the demo, only the full game...

Do you mean scripting missions, similar to the Singler Player campaign?  if so, there are some very good sample scripts and instructions in the SDK.

No I mean scripting the dwnloaded demo of the game. Can I alter hardpoints, add  new ships etc. to the demo that we can dload on BC files?

Unfortunately no.

I and other members much more skilled in scripting than I have tried to through the years and have had very limited success.

Unless you can figure a "workaround" so to speak, you're out of luck.

translation: what anew was asking was "can the demo be modded like regular BC, and moed just said "nope"
