Remember too that I am not animating these guns, so whoever gets them will have to animate them - our animator for Far Cry will be animating them for that game, and I don't think he would be too happy about other people's using his animations in other games.

Here's the weapon with the other side almost done; I still need to cut three pieces out of the bottom of the slide for the safety and slide release.  Right now, the model has 8513 polygons.

I filled in the back of the slide a little more, and have nearly completed the frame rails (you can't see them because the slide hides them); I need to move the ends of the rails back such that the ejector isn't too far forward.  This model is coming along surprisingly easy now.

As far as use in other games is concerned, this 1911 is a basic Mil-Spec, meaning that I can modify it into any of the other Springfield 1911 models without too much difficulty (although cutting finger treads onto the front of the slide will be an extreme pain the ass).  Here's the updated pictures, as well as some pictures of Springfield 1911s.

The first two pictures are screenshots of the 1911 MS3D in Milkshape; the next three are the GI (in stainless steel - my exact 1911), Mil-Spec, and Loaded (the full-sized loaded in stainless steel I plan on getting in a few weeks, since it is far superior to the GI) models respectively.

Another update; made a 7-round single-stack magazine for the weapon:

wouldn't you need two of those?
y'know, it enters loaded, then exits empty :D

Yes; all I have to do is delete the cartridges from the full magazine and add a follower to it.

Sigh...That's just plain awesome work.

You planning on re-doing the P90 in Far Cry? That model made me cry (lame pun that doesn't really qualify as a pun).

Here I finished this pistol just now; decreased the size of the slide stop notch and filled in the rest of the slide's interior.

Here's another weapon for this modification, and the first of many shotguns to be made.  This is a basic pump-action that will be acquired before any of the fancier shotguns such as the M1, SPAS-12, SPAS-15, or USAS-12 (I'm still juggling ideas of what other shotguns I'm going to choose besides this pump-action and the Benelli M1).

This is a Winchester 1300 Defender (it's obviously not finished), which is a pump-action shotgun with a rotating bolt and a unique "Speedfeed" system that assists the firer in operating the forend - in other words this shotgun can fire close to the speed of an autoloader in the hands of a skilled firer.

And ACES_HIGH, you may want me to make a Remington 870 or Mossberg 590 for your Vietnam modification, since these were both used in that war.

Well the 870 looks a lot like the 1300 so I may just modify the 1300 to be an 870 - I will need to round out the ejection port so that it is hot dog shaped instead of squared like the 1300, and also modify the receiver to be much thicker than that of the 1300, and also make a new trigger guard that's more rounded.

Well I decided to refine the Desert Eagles a little more during the last couple of days, so I cut view ports into the sides of the magazines and made empty magazines with modelled followers, and also started on a custom scoped model in titanium gold finish.

Here's the finished titanium gold Desert Eagle Mark XIX with Leupold 2X pistol scope.  With the scope, the gun now has around 20500 polygons; I've also detailed the plate behind the safety levers a little more.
