I've noticed that tendency. BCC could use more unity.
There are ships that haven't ever been touched or done proper justice and it's 10 years since the game came out. Attack ship & Cruiser, Breen Firgates, Kazon Mothership, Borg Sphere, Prometheus (at least not to my knowledge)
It's hard to get people to cooperate.
You have lots of talented people here but you're all doing your own thing.
I would love to join in but my modeling skills aren't there and I know nothing on texturing. But I have a lot of time on my hands. I have every program that I need, an extremely powerful computer and I'm open to learning.

That was not a good rendition of the ship and I offered at the time to do a close analysis of the ship as I did with Defiant but the offer was turned down.
In fact I did it anyway. (It was harder to do due to the lack of right angles but it's much closer in detail than anything available on the net.) I was doing the same for the Jem Hadar Cruiser too.

No worries. I made that little bugger. Not easy to work with Milkshape, not enough tools. I couldn't find enough pictures/angles to work with too. I think that ship was only 1k (or 2k) polys. I'll have to dig it up to see.

And that's a load of bullsh*t, I would never turn down help, I've got no pm about that. It might have its flaw's but it's the best out there.

The only lights in the system I do believe is ambient light, and directional light. The tunnel model is set to use emissive color. Which can only be used if the speculars and no _glow textures. The _glow textures forces the textured animation to leave behind the 1st texture used, the one that it applied to the model. It's a limitation in the game. But, changing the ambient light and directional light is easy enough.
@Saquist What would be your suggestion?

Has anyone made an Ambassador Class starship in a while? Since LC, and other than for Excalibur. I may just build one, eventually. I like how the bussards looks like a light bulb in "Yesterday's Enterprise" I can probably play around the the NiAlphaProperty in nifskope until it works right. We'll see. Backburner for now.

I hath obliterated a bunch of stuff and made it better. I hath the technology. I can make it better....okay, so maybe not better. I can make it faster....okay, not that either. :P
I don't mind one bit. I was going to make the Ambi with semi-transparent bussard glass and model the inside. I've done something similar before. Even tried it with one of Adonis's models...didn't come out perfect, don't think he used it though. (Was a daedalus class, textured animated bussard spinning thingy, with animated blinking lights inside and a semi transparent bulb on the outside.) I like to play around with the models in nifskope (NiAlphaProperty) to see what kind of wonders that haven't been tried yet.
So, if you're making an Ambi that way, I would love to give a hand with the nif model. Or I can show you what needs to be modified.

I may have to create a smaller Poly count model for that. Lol The one I'm using is 8 models of 15k polys. So...120k polys in total. There is nothing else in the system. Just that and a sun. I'll try to cut that down significantly. :dance

Ball of Lightning. Only 256 polys. 1 texture of 1024 but used many times. Will cut that down to 512 or 256 probably. Is 4 bolts of Lightning per texture.

The 60 Dark Matter Bubble models have a simple rotation tied to it's location.
This is actually the part I am most interested in, can you describe how this was done?
That last video, the Black Hole Rings model used the "_glow.tga" textures to light it. In the video below, I removed those and took them out of the "Scripts/Ships/Ship.py" as well. All damage is set to 0. When I load this in BC now, it creates no "_vox.nif" file.
But I was supposed to show off my Testing Spheres. lol 100 Different "NiAlphaProperty - Flag" settings. I didn't edit the Threshold as I thought I did, another time.
Trying out the Torus Knot. :-P Mapped it differently, and am using the same textures as the slipstream model I have.
I may expand on this idea and create a...Starship Race Track. lol
