Title: Question
Post by: ChiefBrex on August 12, 2019, 06:04:29 PM
Hey all,

Long time no see! I'm working on my Poseidon Class project, and I'm having an issue with getting the main shuttle bay on deck 2 the right shape. It's kind of like the shuttle bay on the Galaxy Class, but curved. I wanted to get some suggestions on what the best way would be to go about getting the shape I need. I'm working with a cylinder shape that I've used the FFD on to get the right shape, and am now trying to "cut" the shuttle bay at the back into the cylinder, but, everything I've tried seems to not be quite right. I'll post what I'm trying to mimic.

If it was me once you have the shape select the faces and use insert to make the door frame and the extrude it in.

Insert or Inset?

That could work, but then how would I keep the triangular shape accurate?

Looking like a real nice design!

It's been over 2 years since I've been here. It's good to see some old timers still carrying the torch. It's been so long since I've played BC that I have to re-learn the controls!
