Star Trek: Bridge Crew’s New DLC Enters The Next Generation on PS VR May 22 (https://blog.us.playstation.com/2018/05/09/star-trek-bridge-crews-new-dlc-enters-the-next-generation-on-ps-vr-may-22/)
PS4 timed exclusive, PC release in July. ~€20 pricepoint. Includes 2 new races, a new campaign and broadens the "ongoing missions" mission generator with more locations and new mission types.
And it's no longer VR-only (that happened a while back)
But most importantly, the bridge looks right:

And even more importantly, the model of the Enterprise looks pretty good:

I really hope this DLC gets the "new BC" over the hump to where modders want to get into its guts and create new stuff.
Priority 1: Unlock the pitch axis.
Priority 2: The Defiant.

Supposedly the next big DLC after TNG will be DS9-themed. Although it would be great seeing the station itself in VR, I think it more likely to be Defiant vs Dominion :D
In regards to this DLC, the TNG bridge and uniforms almost looks as good (if not better) than the actual production version as seen on the show. Been considering for a long time to pick up this game (especially after the non-VR patch was released). This DLC might finally have me convinced.

why does the helmsmen have a captains rank? lol :P
i havent seen or heard about this before - this is really really really awesome!!
this would so def qualify as a "Bridge Commader 2" - and if people can mod it, then holy shit this would be even more cool!
i gonna sticky this thread - let's keep it updated as much as possible! :)
ill have a million questions myself :)
also, no VR headset required? how does that work?
that sounds even better!

This has been gossip, in the ST: Bridge Crew's Steam forums for months. It was announced one would be able to play (without VR). Later on, downloadable content (canon bridge sets) would be available. Also loving the bots!

Bridge Crew is currently 60% discounted (via Humble Bundle). Bought the game for myself and a buddy of mine. Would be fun to get some former BC players together some evening :D

do you have to play MP with others?
or can you play solo by yourself only?
also, is it all still TOS/JJverse era? or is TNG available?
can you get up from your chair and walk around on the bridge as well?

There is a single player mode, you can't walk around the Bridge.
The TNG DLC is out for consoles right now, won't be out on PC until July.

aaah darn...
would you be able to go to yellow alert or red alert or whatever on your call?
-
Interesting, but I've seen better weapon textures in modded BC. I think I'll
wait a couple of months, after the PC release on Steam.

As Tuskin said, textures are better on PC (as they pretty much are for most games if have a decent gfx card). But several reviewers have pointed out how sketchy the off-bridge exterior game textures are compared to many other games.

i wonder if this game could be moddable...
i wonder if i asked that before...
if it was moddable, that would be amazing! people would be whipping up bridges left and right!
-
It doesn't officially support modding.
I'm not even sure what engine it is on.

I faintly recall seeing Unity engine logo during opening credits.
