I've been meaning to do these for a while, but since i've had exams i stopped all bc work. right so far i'v only done the bridge crew with my custom heads for the collar. if there is enough interest in the uniforms i will release it with the collars for the default heads.
only started last night and taken literally an hour or so yo do.

Chakotay and B?elana look so awesome...
Paris? mouth is a bit too small I think and Tuvok has a very big nose, but the overall look of the new crew is very good. - have you also renamed them & added new speech ? (maybe you could use quotations from the voy series.)
One thing that is still missing are the collar badges - have you planned on adding them or have you left them out on purpose?
The uniforms are great as well - but why not release them with your new crew?

well b'elana and tuvok i didn't make they were on bcfiles. the b'elana was originally meant for helm on bcfiles but i put her to engineering. i found the kim texture on one of the extra males so i put that texture on ops.
paris is still a work in progress and im thinking of creating my own tuvok as i do agree with you. i've started to rename them and added some speech, but bc needs the mp3's at a certain frequency and frankly i haven't had the time to change it. but now i have the time i hope to finish that off.
as for the pips on the collar i've already done it for kim, but for chakotay and paris the texture for the collar is wrapped around the neck so i wasn't able to put them on for them. same thing happened for b'elana and tuvok. i've just got 3ds max so im planning on changing the body models.
initially at this stage i was just going to release the uniforms as i've encountered some problems changing the helm from female to male and engineering from male to female. the scripts for all the bridges need to be changed as for some strange reason the extra crew jump right infront of me when the ship is hit by a torpedo.

Update: i've closed the gap at the top of the uniform and made it a little longer. if you don't have a clue what i'm talking about compare these with the last.
Also tweeked tuvoks model, created new textures for him and made toms mouth bigger incase i eventually release the head.
what do you guys think on the retexture of the uniforms and tuvok?

much much better Tuvok!! the other one just looked wrong lol
the uniforms are much better also - altho one slight nit-pick i think would be that the right-side corner of the shirt (just under the chin) seems just a tad bit higher than the left... its not that a big of a deal tho really...

Your Voyager crew looks nice. You might want to even out the skin tones by darkening them just a bit. But, I would suggest you use another Head .NIF for Paris, besides Felix's. Perhaps Miguel's Head .NIF or Data's. -BR32

Thanks BR32 for the advice. tried another head, the miguel head just looked damn stupid. the data head i thought looked better so theres an update for paris.
i also evened out the skin tone for paris, and i tried for tuvok but i do not think it looks anygood.

The gold shoulders on Tuvok look a little too deep (from the bottom of his chin to the top of the black bit on the uniform). You may want to raise the height of the black bit but not too much.
Just an opinion.
Also the 'V' bit at the top of where the zippers usually are on yor uniforms looks a little narrow. You may want to widen them just a tad.
Not the best way to explain it but I couldnt come up with anything better. LOL.
Also, I think Commander Graffs head model would be better for your Tom Paris body. I dont remember Toms head being quite so 'wide' in the series. LOL.

The latest one. The texture is good it just looks like his head has swollen. LOL. Graffs head is thinner so that might look better for your latest Tom Paris.
Also, one tiny little nitpick I noticed on all previously released Voyager uniforms. The comm badge. It always appears to be too large with blurry edges. It might just be me but I'll leave you to ponder over that one.
Is this mod going to mutator controlled or controlled thought the BPUniforms Plugin? (not released, ask Mark or Mleo).

ok thanks i will try grafts head when i get back from the pub.
i've also noticed that the comm badges are normally large on the previous versions, but i didn't think the ones i put one are that bad. they might be a tad blurry round th edges but i dont think that they are too large. il do a comparision shot of the lod and new. see what you think.
well until bpuniforms comes out i will put it as mutator control, but when it does come out ill change it to the plugin.

For the comm badges, I was thinking that they would look perfect if you made them the same size as these ones,

but obviously they would be the Voyager color scheme, which is different to the First Contact/Nemesis badges but only slightly.
It may sort out the blurryness aswell if/when you make the badges smaller. But then again, it may not. Again, Ill let you decide.

thanks. well you have a look if there is a decent head models and i will redo some of the head textures. i tried make some heads early today, but i've only just bought 3ds max and simply i dont have a clue. when i imported the new head it didn't appear so...
well depending how well this pack turns out i might redo the rest of the packs. so we will see!! :D

I'm pretty sure the admirals in DS9 season 5 had the First Contact version of the uniforms. Among others in the episode where we find out Bashir is "genetically enhanced" as well as the episode where Sisko stops the Bajorans from entering the Federation.

right i've searched up and down for a head that suits paris but i cound't find anything. i need a face that is quite long, but there doesn't seem to be any. i again tried to create one up it just does not appear in game? anyone help me out on that problem?
as for the head textures, i can't really do anything for paris until i find the right head.
chakotays smile is now gone and the skin texture is more even. i will post pics later

Faces look pretty good (if you consider BC stock models limitations, it's a great job)
Only thing that bugs me, is that you replaced the body with a plain color base, with no fabric texture and no seams, so it looks clear but also painted.
Consider adding some fabric texture to it.

Paris looks perfect - great job!
Concernming my problem:
You need to shift the index finger textures - right now the gap between the thumb and the index finger has forehead textures applied - which are pink and not black like they should be.
i have no clue what files you need for this - I think the original BodyMaleL.NIF BodyMaleM.NIF and BodyMaleS.NIF are affected - but you should have them yourself.
shift the textures beween the two fingers until the glove textures are visible - it?s really not much work if you kow how to do it.
I would really appreciate your help...

the problem with adding pips is because for some reason the left hand side of the face uses the same texture. so i would have pips on both sides. i don't no if anyone can sort this out?

I think the forehead is too long. Probably because of the model he is using as basis.
As for the fabric effect, it looks 200% better. Good job at it.

Only part of Chakotay that still needs a bit of fixing, is his mouth I think... looks "squeezed" somehow.

EDIT: Not entirely sure, but if there's an extra that occasionally stands at the "Science" station behind the captains chair (where Seven usually stood), would you be able to make a canon Seven of Nine crewmember as well to replace said extra?

right so if i fix chakotays mouth and retexture harry kim i think thats it in terms of texturing. i might just redo the emh and include as an extra male. (correcy me if im wrong lol)
all the pips are on, except for tuvoks because the sides of the face use the same texture so it would have pips on each side, if you catch my drift.
after that i will look through all 7 seasons of voyager and get some sound clips.
mods coming along quicker than i thought :D

i think that would be fine, since he sits on that area the bridge... the only way you would tell is if you walk up to him and squeeze between him and the wall to his right lol or walk out of the ready room... either way, i dont think its something to really worry about...

...except for if you use this uniform mod on a different bridge set (Defiant Bridge for example), then you would notice the pips thing.
Just saying that not everyone may use these uniforms exclusivly on the Voyager bridge set.
But its your mod so its completely your choice.

LOL. I dont think Chakotay looks squashed. Well he does in your last pic, but not the one before that, which by the way looks perfect now.

In the picture before you deformed him, Chakotay didnt look too bad. The nose looked a little wide but thats because of the head model.
Whoever said his face looked vertically squashed needs to either,
1. get his eyes checked
OR
2. fix his monitor.
Comm badge looks perfect by the way. Sorry I didnt mention that before.

Ok i no someone said before that chakotay shouldn't be smiling, but i think the way it is now looks ok, so the mouth is probable going to stay as it is. i've also began changing some of the uniforms to match the character. for example chakotays uniform for some reason has a longer grey bit.

Great job. I've read through all the comments and viewed your progress over the past few pages. Very dramatic improvements along the way. I think both Tom and Chakotay are extremely realistic. Now all we need is to have one of the bridge extras look like Lt. Ayala, (played by Tarik Ergin) heheh. :P Some of you may remember who he was. He was a Maquis member of Chakotays ship and was seen in the background since the very beginning of Voyager in "caretaker".

Behind-the-scenes: Tarik Ergin, who plays Ayala, appears in the show more often than any other regular minor crewmember. Although this is evident from watching the episodes, he is also listed as such by Poe. He also plays Satan's Robot in [#106 Bride Of Chaotica!].

Also, Harry has a bit of a cross-eyed thing going on there but from the sounds of it you have had quite a challenge with his eyes so I wouldnt worry about changing them.
Everything else is brilliant.
(PS: I saw in the duplicate thread over at FileFront that you would go through ALL seven seasons of Voyager to get the appropiate sound files. I wouldnt worry about doing that. Sounds like too much work. May I suggest that you get a few people (possibly the guys over at Dante Leonhart's forum) to just record their voices while reading the lines already in the BC game?

Sounds like too much work. May I suggest that you get a few people (possibly the guys over at Dante Leonhart's forum) to just record their voices while reading the lines already in the BC game?

The fact you`re using a stock human face won't help. The forehead is too short, that's why the eyes are out of place (way too down in the face).
Perhaps you should try a stock kligon head.

In reguards to Chakotay, I haven't had much time to reply lately, just a quick glance and I'm gone LOL. I don't know if it's the shading of the NIF or not, but it looks like there's a line that outlines his face. It just doesn't suit Chakotay...no offense :) But then again It could just be me eyes

ok a new head is definitely need it we are going to have a canon 7 of 9. the hair is all wrong, but the face is going well i think. i havent finished 7's uniform yet so the one that you see is NOT the one that will come with this pack.

Ok, I wasn't trying to be rude with Chakotay, I admit it could have been just the shading of the model :). Sorry if I came across as such. But no there isn't a line there anymore LOL. I do agree that there needs to be a head specifically for both B'Elanna and Seven. It looks great though! keep it up!

That looks a bit better... although for Seven I really don't know if she should be smiling. The only real time in the show that she smiled was in Endgame... She hardly EVER smiled in any of the other episodes.

i'm actually doing both. all of the crew i have at some point used abit of a picture like the eys and mouths, but the rest of it has been drawn in photoshop.

well i think i might leave that. the helm, tactical, ops, XO and engineering all have the appropriate voices from the series. i went through some episode and selected the appropriate phrases like yes ma'am and captain. there's also afew different phrases in there aswell.

If you mean 'Lt. Ilea', you right. She 'died' when she joined with Vger in the first movie.
This guy is Lt. 'Ayala' who was part of Chakotays Maquis team when they thrown into the gamma quadrant by the Caretaker.
The names sound similar though so I can see where you got confused.

All Characters in BC can actually speak, but.. well, you need to add events to it and such, so it's more a scripter's work.
Seven's face looks pretty good, now she just need that haircut Doc gave her.

You need to adjust the colors a bit, so his skin match the hands better, right now the face saturates reddish and the hands, yellowish. Other than that, looks pretty.

i will try to get final screenshots up soon, but i've dropped my laptop and it's beyond repair, then one i use for bc, so i will have to transfer my 10 gb install onto the desktop, which isn't top notch. it's a good job i back up my work on and external h/d. :D
what do people think... mutator controlled or a complete override? i haven't had much experience creating a mutator controlled mod, i just hope it will allow the characters to change from males to females/females to males and the voice change.

i think people would be happier with a mutator, to be honest...
if youre unsure about setting it to be mutator-controlled, i would recommend posting a new thread in the Scripting Forum asking how to do so; this way here not only will it teach you, but others as well :)

don't understand what you mean in the first sentence. thanks for the comment, but b'elanna should be getting a better head soon so she should look even better.

I think i should be finished probably next week or the week after. all depends on how quick the new heads an be created, and that there are no problems with it.
I might need a beta tester or two soon to check there having no problems.

Concerning the mutators I agree with JimmyB76.
if you make this mod a mutator you have to create new mutator character scripts in scripts/bridge/characters for each crewmember you want to replace.
and you also need to create a new mutator script in scripts/custom/autoload -this is where you can paste the name of your mutator and the file paths to the modified character scripts
I have added the mutator tutorial from SuperSmeg - you may find it useful I have also added some sample script files from my evil uniforms mutator which I have made recently.
Hope this helps a bit...

Ok, well, I'm so excited about that mutator, can't wait until it'll be released :) i modded already much: Intrepid , NX and Prometheus Bridge and a ship mod and my friend gets angry about my modding because he has to rig his game, too to play with me in the multiplayer, that's stupid! :x

OK i've now made the mod mutator controlled except for the sfx because i don't have a clue yet. i have posted a thread in the scripts section concerning the matter so hopefully someone can help me include them

Everything is now included in the mutator... sound...heads... uniforms. and all appears to be working. i'm just checking there's nothing flagging up then i will have a couple of people beta test. the new heads that legacy is making shouldn't conlfict with anything so i can add them in at the end.

Ok i don't no if anyone can sort this problem out. its seems that one of the extra characters shows up infront of you with there arms wide apart on all bridges. sometimes he is visible and sometimes he not. the area were he is, you are unable to walk using walkfx. it also seems to be about a metre infront of you.
SO any suggestions on fixing it?

The crewmembers are jumping in front of you every time an enemy torpedo hits the ship.
I remember that someone else has reported this problem but I can?t remeber which forum it was..
I have opened the console but I can?t find any valuable info on that kind of thing - but maybe I`m just blind - I have added two pics - the console report is incomplete - is there a way to export this to a text file?

yes - you have DS9FX installed, and with DS9FX, hitting shift-p prints a text doc of the full console report which would be located in your custom/DS9FX folder (this is described in the ds9fx manual ;) )

well its when a torpedo hits the ship. i think its the swaying animation that causes it. you no the one when they lose thei balance. BTW did you look at the console report i sent you?

i've noticed that and also on the v3 intrepid bridge lt. ayala in the corner stays were he is. and sometimes male extra 1 who goes to the engineering section doesn't move, but he does on other bridges.

Console Dump. None of my crewmember extras jump infront of me during combat but I am also having the problem with WalkFX not working because of a extra crewmember standing infront of you (sometimes invisible, sometimes not). I am beta testing this mod for jb06.

I know that it still needs work - balancing the skin tone on the cheeks for example - but what do you think ? - yay or nay
I used a different head model - I think its kiska?s head - I know seven never wore her hair that way but I think the textures fit better on this model...

the thing that i don't understand why the hell torres is jumping. all i can say for that is because CaptainGMAN is using the v2 intrepid bridge which had loads of bugs. the only other place were i've saw torres jumping is on the galaxy bridge and thats donkey's years old.

It just seems to me that you are loading random anims for a bridge it was never meant to be used on

its OFFICIAL the problem with the jumping crewmen and walkfx is solved!. beta testers look in your messages for new link to correct the error.

Jumping crewmen problem is gone - nice job! but Torres looks funny - her head is floating a few centimeters above her chest - I have added a pic of the error - maybe I have replaced the wrong files...

Just to let everyone know myself and the beta team have been working hard to get all the kinks out of the mod. The only thing left now is the heads which Legacy is making with a few touch ups on the textures for the heads then the mod is finished and i will submit to BCfiles.
The next mod i will be working on after the Voyager Crew and Uniform Mod is complete will be the TNG Mid Season Crew and Uniforms Mod.
so i will be needing sound clips for the voices and as i do not own the TNG DVD collection, i was wondering if someone could get appropriate sfx for me.

Well the only thing thats stopping the mod from being released is the completion of the new heads, which may look like it will never happen, thus meaning i might have to release it with the current heads.
everything else is on, sound, all textures and mutator controlled.

Ok update i'm in the process of compiling everything together ready to ship off to bcfiles. If LC can come up with the new heads i will put it in a patch then upload to bcfiles.
I aim to release the mod just after km 1.0 is out so then you all have the fantasitc intrepid bridge v3.0 and the LC intrepid to use the mod in :D

Sorry for the lack of the stuff.
Life has been quite a bitch lately, and my only free time to do anything is a coffee break at work, where i obviously cannot work on it.
It's a good thing you're releasing them now, because i am not entirely sure when i'll be able to get the models done.
If any of you has any experience with character studio 2.2 (max 3) i can help you guys to get it done by yourselves.
