Title: TMP DryDock
Post by: cordanilus on July 17, 2007, 12:22:02 AM
Hi all.

I've hit a snag with the TMP DryDock.

It looks good and runs well in the game except for one thing...
The game crashes when the drydock takes damage, I've tried adjusting the damage resolution but doesn't help.

It is very possible that it could be a mesh thing, I won't rule that out yet.

Any clues? Ideas are welcome and appreciated.

There's no errors in the report but it could be just my install so I'm going to try it in another computer and test it again.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Well, I put it in my dual core system and it still does the same thing.

It takes very little damage when the damage resolution is set at 7 but still crashes the game.

Gonna keep trying though.

Wait, in what prog did you make her and in which one did ya convert her. I'm personally not liking the pc aspect of it, expecially if you ported with Milkshape. Also, what's the size of the nif and _vox.nif?

Made the drydock in milkshape and converted to nif in the same program.  The nif is 846 kb and the vox is 570 kb.

I kitbashed a ship and made 2 ships from scratch before and they both work good, the damages work good on it too.

I must have done something different for this one.  I tried it on 2 amd pc's and an intel pc.

Edit:  I just realized something...I have a fleet ship and it has 65,000 polys and it gets destroyed just fine.  So it must be how I made the drydock.  I guess I'll have to check it thoroughly.

Will post again if I get it fixed.
