I have had many problems as mentioned in another thread. I would like to start over but the old files on the computer keep re-installing themselves into the game. I don't have the knowledge to say it any other way. I uninstalled the game; deleted and uninstalled KM 1.0 and BCUT and BCMI and any other ship files not on the game CD but when I install, there they are again and I have BSOD.

you need to completely remove the game's folder

also please avoid posting a thread title in all caps in the future...
thx

Uninstall the game as you usually would.
Then go to the Bridge Commander folder which is usually located in 'C:\Program Files\Activision' or use the search bar while in the C\ drive (harddrive).
When it finds a folder called 'Bridge Commander', simple right click on the 'Bridge Commander' folder and go down to delete.

Please, files don't reinstall or copy themselves automatically. It is you that is doing something wrong.
You mentioned somewhere you had Vista right? Vista has some problems about file placement when you install the game and mods to certains folders ('C:\Program Files' if i'm not mistaken) so that's the most likely cause of your "supernatural" installs. Anyway this problem when using BC under Vista has been mentioned around here various times already, so if you bother to do the search function you'll most likely find better awnsers than mine to it.
