ive played around and replaced the galaxy for the defiant bridge, that worked but cant get them to sit in there resective places

Short answer, no.
Slightly longer answer, there are quite a lot of animations unique to the single player, and they only work on the stock Galaxy and Sovereign bridges. Even moving the player (camera) will make it crash. The closest thing is augmenting a stock bridge with overlays, like BPCore does.

so thats why i had no problems replacing the stock galaxy with the generations version

Aside from that, it is loaded through the file in bridges, and not through the plugin.

thank you! i had thought so much about is it possible, i guess its down to retextures of the stock. i ve seen a tmp sovereign bridge but none for the galaxy? mainly want tmp era

there are many galaxy and sovvy bridge retextures on bcfiles...
as far as replacing the entire bridge for SP, (as MLeo said) unfortunately, this will not work...

The question has been opened... so I ask: is it possible to build a complete new model on a stock bridge manteining the same crew positions (building the new chairs in the exact place of the original ones) and using the original animations? (My next project was a remodel of the stock Sovereign bridge using this method) For the NIF export shouldn't be problems: the original bridge would be cleared...

Well for my thinking yes because as far as animations will fit into remodeled stock bridge (chairs would have to be in the exact same spot and pathways for crew must be clear or clipping through consoles will occur) then it should be (and I hope it is) possible

I think it's possible, I believe that's how the romulan warbird bridge was made way back when.

Not without immense problems, like I said, simply moving the player/camera around a bit and it crashes.

I thought Dasher or viper or whoever did that bridge imported the animations from the Nebula bridge. of course that probably has something to do with why it was never updated.

thankyou for the posts regarding the stock bridges, i really wanted to replace them with tmp era to go with a mod i was thinking of working on maybe i can use tmp lcars in place of tng ones?

If I recall correctly, Occas (from the Warbird bridge and Romulan Uniform fame), did a retexture of the Nebula bridge with some minor HEX edits here and there, to move a polygon a little bit. So no importing at all.
