Holy hell, why isn't there MASSIVE coverage of this?

A hush-hush release on BCfiles, no activity on the BCS:TNG board, what's going on?

This is nothing less than the GREATEST ADVANCE YET IN THE HISTORY OF BRIDGE COMMANDER!

Where is the love? #loveFFX#

I salute thee, sir, and cookie thee to boot.

But seriously, publicity, dude, this deserves to be known. At least make a post in the scripting forum!

EDIT:
Oh no, you were on the magic number of 47, now I cookied you up to 48! The shame! Sorry.

It had publicity :P
Few months ago there was a news notice at BCFiles, from time to time some post of mine here or at BCS also said about it... Tho I admit GC's public forum at BCS was kinda dead (and still is, forgot to post this there LMAO)...
Few weeks back had a MotM award here I was nominated for it.

Not my fault if people weren't expecting it to be like this lol

Sorry, it's just, something of this magnitude, usually there is a bit of a fanfare, front page articles, big flashy threads by the author. To put this in perspective, no mod has ever had a bigger impact upon the gameplay of BC.

I'm just disappointed to see so little interest in this. It should be HUGE news! I'm not saying you're letting us down, the mod is incredible, I just want more people to know that!

In short, you're too modest, sir!

you sir deserve a friggin metal, a parade, and some sort of cake.
but a cookie will have to do.

i just downloaded it today, however i have yet to take it through its paces, but i have a few questions
before i start as i know there will need to be some configuration on my end

1: is there any way to control the amount of ships on any given set in the "war" mode?
(i.e. like the RDF setting was in v1)
i ask this in the stead of those like myself who have antique systems that cant handle too many ships at one shot

2: the "broken" systems that were included in v1, have they been fixed and able to travel to?

3: how do you sleep at night with such greatness stewing in that head?

@Bren:  lol

@CyAn1d3:
You can by configuration specify maximum number of ships to come in a RDF/RAF. There's a minimum random value of total ships to come in (1, 2 or 3). Each fleet can have a maximum of 20 ships, but infinite fleets can be created, and infinite ships can be in a battle, in either side :P

No, the broken systems is responsibility of their authors, I won't fix their work. And in GCv1's tech support, I helped how to fix a few of them.
However now some of these broken systems will not appear anymore in the map (because they're broken lol), and if the ship can't engage travel, a message box will tell you the reason in the same moment, no need to wait to check the logs, although some of the reasons may not make much sense to regular users, and in some cases I will still need the logs to get the full picture of what happened.

Actually, lately I haven't slept much at all lol

Great mod, but I have a problem: I installed it yesterday without overwriting the original files and the game crashed during the QB loading... Then I backuped the original files and overwrote them with the new... and now I have the Black screen with cursor only and BC doesn't start, which appened also when I tried to reinstall the backuped files! Do you think it is an incompatibility? I have KM, Gravity FX and DS9 FX, it is a classic BC.

But however cookie!

Get a console report ;) It won't be a compatibility issue a :P

Great work Frontier, glad to be a part of it :)

traveling between systems is much more interesting and with the war sim it brings the BC Universe alive.

I DLed it, simply AWSOME! Just when i though you couldnt top yourself with GC1.0, you went beyond my expectations and then sum. Combine GC2.0 and AutoTargeting and you are now a DemiGod of BC. You Da man Frontier.

On a side note, im still trying to combine AutoTargeting and Point Defense in some manner, but no luck yet, ill keep you posted,  :).

Woohoo!  I just learned today that this mod was released.

This is great news!  After learning that there was a new version coming out, I've been waiting to download this, particularly because I only recently discovered Galaxy Charts v1.0 sitting in a zip file on my HDD--I never got around to installing it!   :hurr
