okay, has anyone gone into QB and found Huge buttons and text?
i have, and i don't know what's causing it (i'm kinda hopeless when it comes to tracing a problem in python)
here's some observations
1. all huge buttons and text are QBautostart related plugin function
2. i had installed Sneaker Core Eject when i this first happened (maybe the cause?? don't know )
3. all of BCS TB functions were activated
4. NanoFX 2.0 Beta was enabled
5. these Mutators were activated:
A. BCS:TB targetable plasma streams
B. BCS:TB advanced Core options
C. BCS:TB Silent running
D. BCS:TB Intensive scans
E. BCS:TB transport torpedoes
F. BCS:TB tractor beam setting
G. BCS:TB WalkFX
H. BCS:TB Emergency Repair
I. NanoFX 2.0 Beta
J. QB autostart v0.9
K. Sneaker98's Core Ejection
L. Extra Ships and Mods
M. Foundation Technologies
N. Stock Ships
O. Stock Systems
anyone had/know the solution to this problem?
Please :help:

yes, I get this a lot. usually if i've backed out of a quick battle to turn on Galaxy charts, it happens. when I get big buttons, it's a cure to restart the whole game. haven't had it happen much with KM '10, so whatever "fix" is in '10 might prevent it.
btw, nano FX tends to disable a lot of mods, for some reason. sometimes you have to shut it off to get stuff to work right.

ummm no it doesnt - what makes you think this?

Jimmy: if I have more than one mutator on and one of them is Nano, it disables almost everything, even to the point of deleting some of the menu entries for those mods. anything without UMM or KM 10 tended to do that to me. i didn't get a completely stable BC untill KM 10.

here is a hint some mods need ya to restart BC before they work properly. XD

thats strange - i have never heard of any instances of that occurring to someone; ive never heard of anyone before mentioning that nanofx disables other mods... id be curious as to why youre getting this effect, and what is unique about your install to do something bizarre like that... and somehow i dont think it is nano specifically that may be causing that for you...
but that could all be for a different thread... :)

thats true...

it sounds like things weren't installed in the right order there

I have problems until i learn how the program bits work. it usually takes me a year or so :P

as to the original question about huge buttons, im failry certain this was asked about before...
it may be at BCS forums tho, where it was asked about...

IIRC it's because BC "messes" up fonts, on the next game run all should be good. The problem can be fixed by explicitly specifying that you should use small font size but that requires modifying a lot of scripts.

No it doesn't.

What you're describing (the missing menu entries for some mods) is a script error and that error prevents other scripts to load for a lack of a better term. Fix that error and everything will be fine.

just realized something
i said that the buttons that were affected were QB Autostart functions
but when i had a previous install it worked fine, but that's when i installed the QBautostart functions first, then BCS TB and NanoFX
maybe i'll try that.
thanks for your guyses help, really appreciated.
