BSOD
i am trying to run bc on win7. problem is: it ain't working anymore.
everything was fine in the beginning, but then i messed everything up.
i tried to install some mods, and patches and stuff, some worked, others didn't.
i think i messed it up when i tried to install the supermod.
then i tried to install the intrepid ship, but ever since i did that, i get the bsod.
now, since i am not sure what mods i had installed and what mods i didn't install (bad idea, i know) is there any way that you could tell me at what places i have to delete files that i can start with a fresh reinstall?

yep - thats the culprit...
here is the solution:
http://bc-central.net/forums/index.php/topic,7327.0.html
the script in question can be found in scripts/custom/ships, called Akiras.py...
if you need further help or instructions, please feel free to ask...
(also, just an FYI - it is always a good idea to test your install after adding in any ship or mod, before adding in another; rather than add in a bunch of things all at once and then load BC - and always make backups as you go...)

well, i think i forgot to add a very important fact: i deleted my bc folder and tried to reinstall the game again.
now that there is only the game installed (no patch, nothing but the game) i can't find that "custom" folder...
any other ideas?
also, that "c:utopia..." line is bugging me. i don't have that folder. could this be connected to the problem?

1. install bc in c:/games on win 7
2. install bc 1.1 patch
3. install supermod
4. done

i'm gonna try that one.
thx meanwhile
edit: it worked
thanks a lot! :yay:

don't try to mod on top of BCSupermod, or try to install it on top of a modded BC, it is designed to be a stand alone mod, meaning some stuff won't work right if you don't follow the instructions
