Title: Firing Pulse Weapons in single player...

I am unable to fire pulse weapons in single player, is that to be expected?

usually you have to press "G" for pulse weapons. Just look into the keyboard configurations.

Is singleplayer meaned to be story-mdous or quickbattle?

Is this a clean installation with only 1.1 patch and no mods whatsoever?
