Title: No sound from PC with HDMI sound out
Post by: Pesticle on January 12, 2012, 11:58:01 AM
When I run BC with analog sound output or SPIDF digital output , everything is fine. (Windows 7)

When I run it through HDMI, I get sounds for the into but not the game.

Any suggestions? I've tried several different PC's with the same result using HDMI sound on Win7

Thanks!

PS - Actually, it's my sons favorite thing in the world, and I'd like to help him.

Yes, HDMI is the default sounds device. Also I tried the ATI driver and Realtek driver. All the same. Into movie is fine, silent at the main menu.  I've tried an ATI 4600, 4850 and Intel HD 3000 on board with same results.

What devices/drivers are you running?

Thanks!

I'm running on Radeon HD 5850 and Realtek HD audio, I noticed it's quite important to switch to ati HDMI output and I rememner I had one more option to switch, even had to switch off realtek output.
