ok this is very strange... every time I play BC I can not use the +, ~ keys. they are all disabled...

Yes the keybindings are there....

I don't know exactly why this is happening... though I think it may have something to do with how my StudioXPS 1645 laptop uses the keyboard.

BC is the only game that experiences this issue. It's just very strange... I'm wondering if any of you have ever experienced this and/or fixed it.

So it is specific to your laptop, not your install?

Looks like it... all my BC installs have the same issue from stock to latest KM.

All other games I've tested these buttons work. :/

You might have to press the Fn key that is located on your keyboard in order to "use" those other keys.

my mother's laptop is rigged like that, with additional functions built into them...including the sleep button.
you might have to peruse your manuals.

that's the thing... there are no additional functions built into these keys... only the function keys have added functions associated to them.
