Just curious: does anyone use the Abandon Ship mod? (not sure if it's built into KM). It's one of Saffi's commands. I think there's also an automatic trigger for when a ship gets too much damage?
Just asking as looking at ways to improve it.

actually, I tried it a couple times. way back when, me and Tiq worked on an escape pod deco kit for us with it.

I have it installed; so AI ships use it sometimes.
I myself am not abandoning my Ship often, even less so since the DS9 Fx Crew is always dead before my hull is at less than 20%.

Thanks to you I absolutely have to adjust every second ship plugin to use the right escape pod model! :hithead:
It's great, really! (both mods of course.)

i use it....
when i can hit ctrl+a quick enough >.<
what you got in mind improvement-wise?

Thanks for all comments so far
Release is dependent on permissions of various modders/scripters (heck, i can just do for myself if no!).
But, it started with fact I was bugged that when used Abandon Ship, just ended up in same bridge. So I was toying with idea of doing a little escape pod interior to seat the main crew. I've no intention of doing separate interiors for every pod/race, but happy to do a generic one with different textures. Plus I have the TMP travelpod interior I think I've never released.
Then there's the sfrd pod collection, which is great, but the Defiant Pod could do with updating. Bones has a great mesh/retexture he's sent me to play with.
Then there's the whole re-scripting aspect of Def's original to specify specific pods for specific ships, adjusting cutscene, etc.
So, that in a nutshell is what had in mind :)

okay...tweaking the thing so you actually get to a pod interior? nice.
if you're gonna go whole hog like that, give the stock pod a retex
KrrKs: that's how it works. if someone could properly decipher the obtuse directions for the custom warp colors and sounds (which is tied to the mod), it'd help some
the multipod is property of both SFRD and SFSY, so let's let Baz and Tiq chime in as well

So this is WIP of lifepod interior/layout. I used the Galaxy pod as base as that was the only one could find schematics for. As you can see, it's very cosy if a bit basic :D. I've not been able to find any pics of TNG-to-NEM era pods anywhere (excluding the DS9 pilot one, which is just the runabout set reused). If anyone finds one, please post link here.

Plus a shot of Bones' defpod ingame.

It looks really nice, Lurok91. :)
Btw if you'd like to have more references (even non-canon ones): The PC-Game "DS9: The Fallen" has some escape pod interiors. If you wish, I can open the map-files in the game's map-editor and take some screenshots for you. :)

very cool!! :D
