Best Mods for Single Player.

Hey guys, I'm wanting to mod the game for Single Player, I know this is a nightmare but I've seen it done and was wondering which mods to use.

(I'm fully aware of how to download and install them, so I'm not a total Noob haha)

Any mods you can point me to would be greatly appreciated, specifically I'd wanna be able to have better ship models for all the vessels seen in the campaign, as well as better bridges, uniforms and weapons etc. (The vanilla game is too slow re Weapons.)
